Spam "Spammer or Spambot"

Has anybody else got one of these messages from a "Deleted Member" - there might be some spammers getting in or a bot or something, thought I should make a note of it so if there is a problem, you can hopefully catch it early and kill it before it causes any real problems.

Sigh, looks like that spam message was sent to everyone registered here. Time to do an SQL rape on strings that contain "Sylvia."
These things happen, even at 3DR. The good news is that these spammers are registered by real live people, but their subsquent actions might be those of bots. That's why it's really impossible to prevent them 100% from getting in.
We do however have measures that ensure no bots can register on the site without live assistance, hence the low frequency of these occurences.
