The source code of the SlaveDriver Engine, powering the 1996 game PowerSlave for the Sega Saturn, is now published under the GPLv3.

Great news! This should allow us to finally play a true and accurate port of the Saturn version in the near future!

Does the ps1 version runs on a different engine?

Yeah, that one uses its own custom code. We were able to contact its programmer and he didn't have any materials, so we believe the source code to it is lost.
