Duke Nukem 3D xlnt remake

This is a remake I made in Unreal Engine 4.27
It's so far only the first level of Duke Nukem 3D - Hollywood Holocaust. But more may be coming up.

It's not perfect and I'm not a pro at Unreal Engine, but I did my best.
Still have some problems with the enemy AI not moving in certain map areas, collisions etc. Hopefully this will be fixed.

Hope you enjoy!

Really cool. I'd love to see the HHR mod done in that engine.

Thanks!

Currently working on Red Light District. By the way, level music is my own remixes of Duke3D music made in Reason.

Red Light District is now finished.

Could perhaps add more things like security cameras etc. later on.

Weapons are cool, effects are cool, even sounds and music. Enemies are ok.

Levels are good and faithful to the original game but... There are areas that seem to be very large with few enemies, almost empty.

You could add more things to the maps, like stationary cars, boxes, destroyed things and other things to fill more the maps. I mean, decorations, trees, unleveled destroyed streets, etc.

You could use that mod for Serious Sam as a good inspiration to adapt Duke Nukem 3D to Unreal Engine. That is for sure a good example.

I know that in the original game there are some big areas that feel empty, but since this is a remake, you could fix that, not just make a "copy" of the original game in other engine.

A remake doesn't need to be an exact copy of a classic. You can get creative and add things that were not in the original. You can even get inspiration on various Duke Nukem 3D mods, including beta material.

For example, you could make rain in Red Light District outer area, as well as more trees and destroyed cars in the way. That street seems very empty.

But that building being destroyed was ok. I also liked those flashy lights in the dancing room.

With such fixes and additions, it will certainly be a badass remake. B)

Better than that thing that Gearbox put her hands on...
