Since discovering PCEM (a really good emulator for old PC hardware), I thought it might be fund to build custom machines, each themed to a particular franchise I loved when I was young. One for Sierra point-and-clicks, one for Command & Conquer, etc.
The first one I'm starting with is Duke Nukem. I've got everything running pretty well, with one minor hiccup: I cannot figure out how to map jump to the space bar. Duke eXtreme Command Center (honestly, this thing was SO underrated IMO. The maps were nothing special, but it made editing configs and tweaking settings easy, and was well worth the budget price just for that) made it easy enough to map the default keys (I can't believe I beat this thing using keyboard-only when I was 16) to the usual WASD, but I can't map ti Space Bar. Is this possible?
Note that while I know it's easy enough to do in eDuke32, my goal with these machines it to make it feel as completely authentic as possible. Any solution requiring software that didn't exist in the 20th centurey is a no-go for this.

Is there a way to map the space bar in Duke3D in Dos/Win9x?

Umm, either change it in SETUP.EXE or edit the CFG in a text editor like any of the other keys.
