Hunting For A Specific Version of Grabbag

I fully admit this is just a shot in the dark here, but screw it I'll put it out there.

A few years ago I was browsing youtube looking for Grabbag remixes/covers, something I do from time to time because I just really like the song.

I found a really special one. It took the full version MIDI and ran it through an SC-88 (by itself impossible to find anywhere on youtube), but then edited it to match the full version that was included on the Atomic Edition CD. The end result was basically that Lee Jackson classic rendition of the full song, but in much higher quality so it sounded less muffled. It basically made me appreciate that full version in all its glory, and quickly became the definitive Grabbag for me. Unfortunately this video and possibly the channel it was hosted on is/are completely gone. No trace of it anywhere.

I'm asking if anyone out there saved that video or downloaded that audio or something because I really wanna listen to it again.

Maybe this? https://leejackson1.bandcamp.com/track/grabbag-96khz-24bit-2018-remaster

Which uses this MIDI: https://leejacksonaudio.lbjackson.com/html/download.html

That one's close but it's not quite it (though it is currently the Grabbag I use when I play the game).

I'm confused at your describing of the Atomic Edition's Grabbag as "muffled". It's a mastered CD audio track...

"Less muffled" suggests it probably wasn't a real Roland and maybe, possibly, was a different ROMpler entirely which you mistook for an SC-88? The sound quality of their gear was generally quite poor.
Perhaps you could try searching for Grabbag with random module and wavetable names?

In theory it wouldn't be too hard for someone to restore the FX for the MIDI Lee posted some years and record it if they own the module. I don't, but someone will and could be willing to do it as a possible last resort if you don't find it, but are dead certain that's what they used. Come to think of it, I wonder if any of the SoundCanvases were re-issued in hardware or software form and that was what you heard. Usually those things are woefully inaccurate compared to the original device.

Another thought is to use a search engine to look, instead of YouTube. Their search is a heavily rigged system, so is likely to return random things long before there being any possibility of what you actually want.
