Microplastics are undoubtedly causing damage across the entire biosphere. Nobody wants to have kids because they're outrageously, prohibitively expensive.

Also you remember that movie Children of Men? Ever since I learned about how microplastics are found in every cell in every organism on the entire planet, including fetal tissue still in the womb, I've been thinking about that scenario a whole lot.

It is shocking to learn that we'll all die, one way or the other. Getting ill is part of living, since like the dawn of man. The difference; in the old days it was 'nature', now - whatever can be used by the competition to gain a market share.
