Did you have any favorite Java game during Java era?  "Topic about Java and Symbian games ONLY! No android apps!"

Did any of you have a favorite game back when touchscreen phones and tablets were just beginning (or not at all?) and most people had button phones? Do you remember such times and did you play any games on older types of mobiles? I sometimes play these games in Kemulator for nostalgia.
As an example:

And no one else? That´s a pity. This game, for example, was quite popular on the old Nokias:

1. Give it some time, it’s a small community.
2. You are doing great, just post what you know. I never even heard of Bounce until I read this post today. :)

Does anyone remeber the metal gear 1 and 2 port for java mobile phones. The metal gear 1 port was released in many non japanese countries but metal gear 2 port was exclusive in japan and therefore it got lost in time. I wonder if someone still have it

↑I remember only 3D Solid Weapon, maybe devs were inspired by Metal Gear Solid. I liked that stealth action. It had about 3 episodes (=games)

Actually, I first got to know The Sims series thanks to the java version of the game. There were also options that were missing from the computer version, such as visiting a neighbor's house, knocking over his trash can, and he then came and kicked you out of his property. It was pretty good, although understandably "trimmed" with some other options.

I actually did. Some of my favorite games back then was one of those shooter games from Newgrounds where you played as stick figures killing everyone. Man, thinking back on Newgrounds brings back so much nostalgic flashbacks.

Feel free to share your nostalgic memories here if you like? If you remember some specific game names?

(I remember Newgrounds had flash games, right? I intended this thread to be specifically for games on button phones)

One game that I dearly remember was The Elder Scrolls Travels: Dawnstar. Good phone game. I think it was on Java.

I enjoyed Driv3r a lot on my Sony Ericsson T630 back in 2006, although my version of the game was a bit simpler than the one I find when searching on the net:

I still have that phone and it still works, so maybe I'll play it again sometime.

You are very lucky. In 2020, my Nokia 2730 Classic Black, a rarity that was no longer available at the time, completely fell apart. I loved that phone, I spent a huge part of my life with it. Button cell phones were much better than today's touchscreen garbage from China.

My mother still uses one of those black and white nokia phones as her secondary(She bought it about 8 years ago). One thing I must say is that those phones are very durable. Throw a smartphone once and it will shatter into pieces but that thing won't even budge (except for the battery case which is kinda loose).

that's true, my mobile has certainly seen a lot of crashes and has lasted, except for one crash, during which the back part chipped a bit. However, the biggest problem that made me stop using my nokia was that the middle big button on top fell apart and I couldn't press it well, I had to use a pin, that was very annoying.
