I don't understand why Duke Nukem Forever is constantly said to be a bad game. I'm a fan of the series and I played Forever, and I haven't seen anything wrong with the game at all. On the contrary, the changes in the game seemed interesting to me!

It wasn't the worst game ever made, I've played much worse. It was no masterpiece either.. It was a mediocre game with too high expectations.

I think what your oracle is trying to tell you is the world in which DNF is a good game is so different from our own that you wouldn't be able to comprehend it.

Yeah, I can't possibly imagine how it would have been bad on release unless idk a lot of bad shit happened to it, I mean, it's not like it has boring combat thanks to multiple reasons like awkward movement, an overreliance on hitscanners, health regen and two weapon limit neither of which have been implemented all that well (which leads it to become a boring cover shooter wannabe), lack of impact on the gunplay, a terrible "humorous" script with horrendously dated "jokes" and npcs like the Holsom Twins, Duke isn't Duke in looks, personality or even gameplay, Dylan, a mostly mediocre OST, bad postprocessing that ruins the visuals, a FUCKton of filler, and to top it off, terrible underwater segments.

...oh wait, that's DNF.
