Creating a link by right-clicking on the post number #xxxxx creates a link to some other, slightly newer post. That's quite annoying. Even a link I created in a May 2020 post, pointing back as far as 2015, is affected. Is it caused by older posts being deleted from their thread? Can anything be done about it?

Yeah, that's been broken for a while. People were already bringing it up here last year: https://forums.duke4...of-irst-unread/

I barely even looked at the thread and thought I remembered it from last year but you're right. The issue has been persisting for way over a year, though; first post in the Blast Radius thread with all the links to former screenshot posts literally never worked, and I made that a while ago.

It's a known issue that can't really be fixed without upgrading the forum software, AFAIK. I think it happens when larger threads have posts in them that have been removed by hiding them so only admins can see them versus cutting them out entirely, like it's some oversight in the software where it successfully skips the hidden posts when generating the per-thread post numbers but gets it wrong when generating the links or gets the anchor tags wrong in the HTML output or something.
