I have been wanting to make a trailer for the mega pack so I used the 2001 hype for it. :P

Why did nobody announce here that the Pandora episode is out, and that since ages? I stopped updated the EAC version at v3.1. We are at v4.1 now. Panic!!!

I am wondering about an issue I encountered today:

Is there a showstopper in the first map of WGSpace or am I doing something wrong? After you get that second blue keycard, you are supposed to use it on an access panel inside of some kinda lab. I studied a gameplay video and it shows you are supposed to enter that lab through a door with broken glass. For me, that's a solid wall, however.

I tried different versions of the map, from WGMega and the first WGSpace standalone release, same thing. Also, EDuke32 and Rednukem behave exactly the same. I am unable to get into that lab.

I noticed a few months ago that some of the masked walls in my old WGSpace levels broke with newer eduke32 builds, I thought I had fixed that one wall you mentioned I will double check, thanks.
I presumed it was due to the way I had made the masked wall, as it was lazy but worked when I released the maps.

Exactly that one, yes. I have tried with the old WGSpace pack and latest WGMega (v4.1). Latest EDuke32 and Rednukem show the same behavior, haven't checked with Raze or DukeGDX.
There's no transparent part on both sides of the door at all, just those glass shards on one side (the one that's supposed to let you pass through). IIRC you should be able to get into the lab right away, even if you don't have the second blue keycard yet, and it's like this all the time.

Even Mapster32 behaves incorrectly with it (also tried with older builds dating back until 2017, no change). That's what it looks like in the editor (and also ingame):

1) Fixed music for Slick Willy.
2) Fixed blocking masked walls in the WGSpace Episode.

And of cause since I never mentioned it in the past the WG Pandora episode was released last year with 5 levels.

PS: Are you sure the files inside of the zip on ModDB are updated? I took a look and wgmega.grp still has a timestamp from Oct 30, 2022. That's from v4.1.

Did you download v4.2?

I just did and it says the GRP was created yesterday, and the bugs listed in the changelog are fixed.

I just downloaded everything again to be sure. Groupfile still has a 2022-10-30 timestamp, but changelog contains 4.2 changes, so I guess it's the right one. Best way to check is to reach the part in the WGSpace episode that caused issues before.

Haven't seen this posted yet but I just came across it in my subscriptions:



Amazing stuff, even when familiar with some of those environments already they all look so fantastic. I'm looking forward to absolutely devouring the whole of the pack as soon as my schedule frees up.

Small visual glitch I've encountered while playing. The top sides of these three poles/pedestals/whatever in "Terraform" ("WG Pandora" episode) seem to be untextured.

Also, the definitions for the "Bloody Marvellous" skybox (99) might be screwed up. At least I had to adjust the tiles for the addon compilation since they were not assigned properly. I had to switch tiles and the top one had to be turned by 180 degrees in order to fit.

Thanks for your feedback, I see that missing texture now thank you for that.

As for the skybox, when I test ingame it looks correct, what do you mean by addon compilation?

I was referring to the EDuke32 Addon Compilation. You had given me permission to add this pack there, but maybe too much time has passed to remember. It's possible I made a mistake with the definitions in my repack. Everything is the way it should be now, though, not deviating from the official release in any way.
