Yeah, that's a common issue. The mapper has put two of them in the same position, facing in opposite directions, with different shades. Different voxels in the same position will flicker, so one of them needs to be taken care of by maphacks. Either by moving it out of sight, leaving the same shade on both sides (my usual choice). Or by 'widening' the railing until no visible parts overlap:

For the time being you need a patched fury.exe to make the latter method work. Rename the *.exe of your choice to "fury.exe".
However, your specific issue has already been taken care of. Update your local Voxel Pack from Dzierzan's repo. ;)

Ohh that's "normal" behavior. Not all maps and not all possible sprites were touched when it comes to maphacks.

Elsewhere we get quite some additional detail. Btw., I found another 'missing' voxmodel, #06466, maybe has more relatives:

I'll add those. Thanks for helping me out. More voxels are coming :-)

I’m surprised those aren’t voxels already. The game had other barrels as voxels.

Because they are not used in the main IF game. I'll voxelize them when I can.

Added 11268, 11269

I am not a big fan of redesigning sprites, but I had to do it in order to make it universal.

Kirov reporting!

@Leo
You need to provide maphacks for it. Z3A1 has that blimp, but for shit I couldn't understand how to reach it in mapster32 in order to find out its sprite number.

Ion Fury has some different type of "skyboxes". The map's unreachable surroundings are created "off-grid" and then "mapped"(?) over the playable area. Have "editorgridextent = 524288" in your mapster32.cfg and zoom far out in 2D mode.

Leo, z5a1 will require more maphacks:

More boring cables:

@Leo
I am not sure about 8230. I mean I noticed that in one place when voxelized, it's moved a bit to the right. I double checked if I didn't make any error with the size but it was all correct. That can be compensated with adjusting pivots, but I am not sure yet if it's gonna be a universal fix. If you find it, please do notice if the voxel matches the location of the sprite.

Dayum, Ion Fury on PC is getting all the nice voxels! Poor console gamers are gonna miss all this cool stuff lol.

Thanks for the hard work Dzierzan!

Thanks

After I made these cables, I realized it's one of many... ehh... They're boring to make.

Dzierzan, your work continues to be amazing.
All the BUILD games have really benefited from your work.

A question, what is the software you make the voxels in?

It would be really interesting to see you 'make a voxel' and the tools and processes behind it.

Thanks!

Well, I haven't made voxels for ALL Build Engine games ^^.

I am using MagicaVoxel tool for main voxel creation. Slab6 for exporting voxels as KVX format which Build Engine uses. Aseprite and Photoshop for additional paintjob.

BTW fun fact, I am making voxels for Ion Fury: Aftershock now :).

Thanks for the reply.

Well that is exciting, guess we will get more voxels at the start of the release now!

I wonder if it means that your work on Fury will be included officially then as well...
