Here are the goodies for anyone who wants to take a look.

Duke3D v1.0 Shareware CDV Edition (ISO, 12 MB)
Highres pic of CD cover (JPG, 5.8 MB)

Regarding the ISO:
As mentioned, it's best if you use e.g. 7-Zip to unpack the ISO to a place on your disk, mount that folder as drive in DosBox and run start.bat from there. Alternatively, just skip the DOS installer and unzip duke3d.zip in the zip subdir.

@NightFright Thanks for sharing ISO of youe disk, very interesting find. Esspecially CD Cover with those press release screens maeks things even morei nteresting. What aattracted most attenttion to me are those screenshots with Space SUit used in udnerwater area in Toxic Dump and and altenrative starting area of Toxic Dump with 4 switched rathen than 3 and on different side of wall, very interesting. Aslo the other screenshots contains E2 and E3 registered levels that were present only in older versions of game that are not released to us. Old versions of Duke are lime ystery, they jsut keep showing new stuff we enver found out using the registered or atomic version. Really interesting again. Thanks for sharing!

Also even if it's bit off-topic i wouldn't mind if you share other discs with other games you mentioned to have. Thank you!

Very well. Here it is, then.

Hexen 4-Level Demo / CDV Edition (ISO, 13.7 MB)
Highres pic of CD cover (JPG, 5.4 MB)

Gotta love these description texts:
"With its realism unrivalled until now, Hexen is a true masterpiece. This game bursts with ideas and is stuffed with interactive scenes. In this captivatingly scary fantasy experience, you embark upon a nightmare adventure to destroy the sinister rulers. In each section of this colossal fight with the most horrible creatures, nerve-racking suspense is guaranteed. A new game by id Software - with the masterful 3D engine."

Other than the Duke3D disc, this one comes with 9 more demos (I gotta admit I have never even heard of those games):
- Dreamworld Adventure (DOS)
- Gravity Well (Windows)
- Julietta (Windows)
- Powerball (Windows)
- Recycle Mania (Windows)
- Rock Man (DOS)
- Shazy (DOS)
- TZ-Minigolf (Windows)
- WW2 in Europe (DOS)

The Windows games are probably completely useless since they require Win 3.11 to run. Dreamworld, Rock Man, Shazy and WW2 may work with DOSBox.

Really? That sounds nice. I know that 3D Realms specified exactly that they will only sell Registered version on CD-ROM only. Though it looks Shareware was also sold on Floopies not only on CDs. Nice thing though.

This looks so nice. I wish i had these. But i am still happy with my Duke Nukem 3D Shareware Episode v1.1 CD. It also contains Terminal Velocity Shareware v1.2 as well. BTW Duke Nukem 3D v1.1 still contains Space Suit fully working code. Lizard Enforcer still shooting with Flamethrower. Assault Commander were weaker and have no ability to fly. Senty Drones still beahves like Head Snakes. Overlord code still is not present. Cycloid Emperoer is weaken than Battlelord but beahves more or less same as him, making him totally different than what it become in Full Registered version and Atomic Edition.

I actually never heard of Duke3D on floppies before searching this now. I know that Terminal Velocity was released on floppy disks and was distributed by FormGen/3DR themselves.

So Manaccom had a 3'5 floppy release of Duke3D. I wonder if other vendors was doing that. :rolleyes:

@Sanek
I only heard of semi-offical French magazine version that cmae on Magazine's CD ad for some reason it was cut on 3-levels. Other thing i know of is Duke Nukem CGW Demo version which is cut to one-level only. There is probably more unoffical and semi-offical shareware versions of Duke like these, but they aren't quite well-known and are usually rare to be found nowadays.

@NightFright
Hey NightFright, i jsut checked Duke Nukem 3D German Shareware CD ISo you provided and palyed the gmae on Piece of Cake difficulty skill. You were right, between this German v1.0 and offiical v1.0 there is no any differences. Still German model distribution was nice thing though. Thnaks for sharing once again.
