Screenies of the Stone Hub of E6L2.
Hub will be a large segment similar to the main E6L2 and second part will be inside the rocky parts so will be more of a cave'ish hub in later part.
The current part of the hub will have lots of stairs etc to reach the ribcage bridge (posted above) screenies to the lower part of the island.

Episode one remastering is officially finished.
Done work in other episodes at the same time
Now little work to be made in Ep2,
Some in Ep3
Work in EP4 is mostly finished, included the E4L12 that is about 1/2 finished (Dark forest)
some for EP5 or arch episode
Then work in Ep6 (atm the E6L2 is finished) all is left are its 5 hubs
then rest of 6
now screenies of Scrapbrain 2 (E1L10), 1st one was finished. 1st has lots of expansion can only be accessed by the alternate route from skipping a boss in the previous level.
2nd part is pretty same size, except extra details added.

Hate to break the news. But you won't see any of this, ever. Sadly Zaxtor passed away in June. It's in the obituaries thread. https://forums.duke4...s/page__st__510

The only way we can get his work at this point is ask the permit to access to his PC to the parents before the apartment gets vacated, although this easily fall into the sphere of privacy violation and lack of tact. We could still try to replicate what Zaxtor was doing based on the WIP images he published.

How many of you actually completed Oblivion and Trequonia from beginning to end? He's known for very sadistic puzzles, which I find hard to believe he expected anyone to solve. Billy Boy's maps pissed me off too.

uhh, without cheating? no
but i mostly just cheated to figure them out and then went through the "right" way afterwards

Neither me are a big fan of Oblivion, I found the design of most maps narrow when not dispersive, the forest levels are particularly annoying. These issues are less present in Trequonia.

I am not much into playing big maps, either. That's why fixing some problems of this mod for the version in the addon compilation was so hard. Basically had to rely on bug reports from others by 100%. But I still gotta say, impressive work and effort the author put into this.

I am one of them ^^
Though maybe 99% for Oblivion because I just NEVER managed to finish that Cube level legitimately. The farthest I had gone was getting 2 of the 3 keys but I eventually got stuck between 2 teleport rooms surrounded by inevitable traps, so frustrating T_T
And there's a level with a labyrinth with interconnections near the end of the game that I managed to complete legitimately ONLY ONCE. The same goes for the 3rd secret level of Trequonia, I keep cheating through these 2 now ...
Pulling his project to completion would indeed be the BIGGEST tribute one could EVER do but I doubt there will be any courageous enough soul to undertake such a titanesque task all alone O_o
In addittion to what Fantainikos said.

I completed Oblivion roughly 10 years ago, some time after he released Episode 4.
I don't remember if I noclipped through any of the maps. I do remember being stuck often though and having to use godmode for several of the bosses. Savescumming was also required.
Trequonia I never played because I simply lack the time for such an undertaking these days.

I completed Oblivion many times. I like those maps except of the forest on fire.
Unfortunately you could not complete the shipwreck map, because the yellow keycard is outside the ship (tror error?).
And there is some pipesystem in the military base level with an alternate exit. I have no idea how to enter it. Even with mapstar I can not find the first pipe.
I played Trequonia only once because I have graphics glitches in some maps. I will play it in the future, hopefully without those glitches.

For the "Shipwreck" map, you mean the secret level in the forest on fire ? Personally I was able to complete it without resorting to cheating O_o I'll have to recheck in Nightfright's compilation, in which you can't even access the secret because the destroyable wall doesn't destroy itself, or maybe I confuse ... >_>
For Military Base rest assured you're not the only one in this situation T_T

I had not learned about Zaxtor passing away before today when accidentally reading about it on MSDN (was gone during the bigger part of June/July, forgot to read older posts/threads and even missed Tekedon's post on the same page of this thread, too). Needless to say, I am really sad and shocked about it.

Just heard from MSDN that Cedric is gone. I'm shocked because he was from 1979, i'm from 1975 and I couldn't imagine you can die at 40 in our days.
I just wanna say his work was amazing. I'll never forget his maps, when playing them I couldn’t help but alternate between "oh my god it’s crazy, it’s way too hard !" and "oh my god, this level is incredible, what a genius !", which I think is the mark of a great, great author.
Stay in peace brother.
