Same Dev it looks like.
On the Kickstarter it says he was the Dev of shrine.
One of the few indie kickstarters that asked for very little money considering.

"I ran the executable through IDA just out of curiosity. It'd a bona fide Delphi (7?) app.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The levels are fucking hardcoded in the executable. Not even as data, but as code: a bunch of MOV instructions, in several humongous functions (one for each level I pressume). I don't know what sort of source code can map to this, but it looks like some insane sort of LEVEL[0]=0x32; LEVEL[1]=0x88; ... nonsense repeated hundreds of thousands of times.
I changed one of them to do nothing, and sure enough, that level (only) now loads with no geometry. The entities are loaded separately.
I've never seen anything like this before. You'd have to be quite insane to do it like this in my opinion.
Also I checked the data file, and sure enough there are no maps there."

Well, it does play as a slav's answer to quake IMO. I think it is ok, way too brown and the horse is cool I suppose.
A guy on twitter is working on a unity shooter game that looks to be inspired by Blood. ATM the official name of the project seems to be Cultic.
Link to the guys twitter with posts relating to the game.
First video dev log of the game:
I quite like what I am seeing to be honest. I hope this game gets completed and published someday.

No, you're not. Honestly I'm sad about this. Duke Nukem IMHO is a clearly better game, has better production values, has much much better level design, has a more relatable theme, has more iconic weapons and monsters, has better palette, and so on. Yet, today's flawed society along with Gearbox's incompetence clearly damaged Duke's reputation, at this moment everything is wrong with it for the public. Meanwhile Blood, a game honestly I never really enjoyed, became much more popular, and that's because many people can gratify their sociopathic instincts through it. Today's society seem to enjoy sociopathy more than sexism in other words.

I'm not sure if that's necessarily true (doomworld's opinion doesn't count and it never has). That said though, the whole Duke + Sexism thing is something I just can't ever really see. Duke 3D has a reputation for being all about the sex industry, when literally only three entire levels out of 39 (3/47 if you count episode 5) were based on such places. The porn theater (which was so high-class it could have been literally any movie theater, not helped by it being called Hollywood Holocaust and featuring the stars), the red light district (in which the only thing giving the porn store away were the viewing rooms, and you were never at any point forced to interact with the strippers which never even showed anything), and XXX-Stacy (a porn studio for exactly half the level before it gives up and becomes something completely different).
Sure there are the pod girls (which were also covered up), but you actually kill all male human NPCs (in the form of pig cops, of which there are far more of than the pod girls). It's just more bloody double standards. And if that weren't enough, not only does the almost unanimous majority of Duke 3D not take place in adult entertainment locations, but even the pod girls disappear after episode 3. Hell there weren't even that many in episode 3. Many levels are completely devoid of them, and the few that did have them had them laid out like traps, where if you killed them by accident you really suffered for it (Tier drops and its triple Battlelord assault comes to mind). I realize I'm preaching to the choir, it's just...
So much for not getting frustrated. I'm just kind of tired of DN3D being linked to such a thing when not only is that demonstrably false by every measure, the parts where it even applies are barely in the game. But if that weren't enough it keeps feeding the absurd pop culture idea that Duke had nothing to offer despite doing so many things first that Half-Life and other much later games get credit for.

Honestly, the levels between Death Row and Overlord have a far more serious tone, than anything in Blood. In fact, nothing in the first 3 episodes felt like goofy, and memes are reserved for secret areas.

If by serious you mean rooted in the real world, sure, but it never really rises to the level of not seeming like a total joke. TO ME anyway. You can like Duke more if you want. I just took mild annoyance at your assertion that people enjoy Blood so they can express their sociopathy or something. That's just silly.

I don't mind people enjoy Blood. I enjoyed some of its parts, particularly the first half of episode 2 to some extent. What pisses me off it's far more popular than Duke nowadays, and that disgust me a little. For me, it's like rating Heretic over Doom.

I never played BD but from the videos that I have seen, it looked like excessive violence was not really meant to be serious there -- more like dark humour slapstick comedy, which I guess could be seen as an ironic take on the comic (which I admittedly never read too, save for that widely known rip-n-tear image, so I may be utterly wrong here).
What I did not like about BD really was all the hype with people who started talking things like "this is what Doom was originally meant to be played", "the true way Doom should be played" or even "this is Romero's original vision". What. And it was also obvious that the project pushes the limits of the game far beyond its original shape and scope. I appreciate all the work done with extra art and such, but at some point it was inevitable that a new original game with original assets would be an aesthetically more preferable choice instead of forcing a different kind of gameplay on a game that was not really designed with it in mind. There was a kind of dissonance between the new gameplay and the hodgepodge art. I guess this is something modders could get away with in say 2000-2005, but now the modding scene has matured to the point where high quality original art is basically an everyday thing.

Confusion over this came about because Romero publicly endorsed BD and said it would've been insane if the original Doom had come out like that, so I guess people extrapolated that he wished it had come out like that.
Clarification here.
