Oh the variety!

Okay guys! So I've decided to post this one as a curiosity - for giggles ;) I was working on this in 2000-2001 so I was 10-11 years old, so don't expect too much. The editing tools for Duke where a wonderful discovery for the young me and my brother, so obviously I've had to make my own TC! I've either ripped resources or ideas from the games I've loved then - Doom, Quake 1/2, Blood, Terminator Future Shock, Deus Ex, even Metal Gear Solid, there's some ideas from the original Duke3d levels too! Looking at it 10+ years later, it feels like a homage to all those games. You can witness the development time - some of the enemy sprites are "half-replaced" by "better" ones, you can see some difference in mapping - try the maps 1 and 2 of the first episode - it's the earliest and latest map respectively. Level 2 is a remake actually - you can compare it with the actual e1l2.map (the map used in game is called fck.map, no comments please :P)

I've went through all levels in build and made sure the exits work so the maps can be completed - some are unfinished and end abruptly, some level exits seemed random, so I've marked them with "exit signs", plus added signs for some of those "not obvious switches", but there's not much of those, the levels are rather simple - my first ones ever. The game is untested too - there should be enough supplies to survive if you don't play from a pistol start. Watch out for chaingunners (especially, rocket chaingunners!) and kamikaze drones (imps). If you're in a pinch, SEMIC kills everything - fire and pray it doesn't fry you, keep long distance from the enemies. DNKROZ will not ruin the gameplay if you have to :P And never use the jetpack. Never.

Just pop in your port of choice or drop the fulder inside your Duke directory and use the "custom game content directory option". For classic obviously, no idea how it will behave in Polymer.
Enjoy!

Is "fire" the thing we should use to kill it with? ;)

Hope you guys don't get this as some kind of a prank or elaborate trolling - despite the descriptions I've wrote up :P

This is a honest release of an old project, unfinished one, I admit, but... How to decide when something is finished? It's a hard thing to decide when you're a young guy who's constantly learning something, and constantly has new ideas (sometimes contradictory).

I think it had potential to follow a similar story to Imagination World - started as a "teen" project, but was improved/revised/changed with every new skill learned or when a part of the game/feature started to feel too lame/childish etc. ;) Except I gave up while James persisted I guess.

Treat it as a curiosity/nostalgia value. I still love the mine-laying-bald-cultist-changun-commandos! They're even more hilarious when you realize what the mine actor was in the original Duke :P

I tried it but lost interest after a while because I was sleepy.Apparently I typed in the wrong words to say.I have no real excuse for that.So I truly DO apologize. I did go back and play it again, and it really wasn't that bad at all.The first map was a bit of a surprise, but once past that, your mod was pretty fun. Again,I AM sorry. ;)

This looks really oldschool and partially raw. Might give it a shot sometime.

Is that....... Hitman from Jagged Alliance?

also I lost it at the edited Caleb "bitch. bitch. SON OF A bitch" for the piece of cake replacement, and the chaingunners 'vomiting' explosive mines.
