I recently deleted all mp3s, thrown away pirated cds, dvds. So far so good. And I haven't pirated games/software for a long time before that.

I have 28 thumbs up because I'm the principal developer of EDuke32 and these are the EDuke32 forums in addition to the Duke4.net forums. You can say it's only because I'm an administrator but it's really because I gave people a place to talk about Duke3D related things and I gave them a lot to talk about with EDuke32. I don't claim to be the best administrator ever (I'm only human after all, and I'm definitely not impartial in regards to a lot of topics) but I try to do a good job.

I try to be fair to users, even when I disagree with their viewpoints, even though a forum like this is basically private property and as administrators we don't have to do anything at all. There's just only so much crap I'm willing to put up with.

By the way, it wasn't me that downvoted the post this is a reply to. As for the voting system in general, if it was possible I would have started everyone at 10 or 20 points to allow for some margin for error in regards to people downvoting them just to be malicious. Unfortunately, the software doesn't allow for that. Anyway, I mean it when I say that people who abuse the reputation system will be punished. I really want the reputation thing to work out because when used correctly it's a useful metric with which one can easily gauge the quality of a member's posts.

The last time I gave TX a thumbs up was recently when I asked how the ego worked in regards to a post count, and he explained it almost instantly. He also said Helixhorned was working on something big so I might give him another point if he tells me what it is Although it should probably go to Helix TBO.

Edit: But the voting system is good, I was wondering whether we were ever going to get something like this like other forums. I've also noticed other places have a system where you can either rep someone OR thank the post (or both) which allows for even more flexibility. But thank god now that people like blackharted who have a massive ego count can be shown to have a terrible reputation.

Also, recently I got back into watching Hercules: the Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess. They're good shows and they certainly don't make them like that anymore, not just with the plots and settings but with heroes who always know best and have real morals. Today's heroes are 'complex' and have a bit of a dark side to them at times.

The hell is going on? Admin making insults and then restricting user he's having argument with? While High Treason haven't written any arguments to back up his original claim, acting like an admin tyrant was not necessary. Everyone knows you can do anything you want on forums, but that doesn't mean you should. You even contemplated banning High Treason altogether.
