Same gameplay we've seen many times before, but skip to 2:56 and check out the Duke statue. Nice. :dukegoof:

*sigh*
Man... I think I know the maps from this demo better than the classic "Hollywood Holocaust". >_>

Heh, yeah, makes me wonder/worry if the demo we'll get will be more of the same. Hope it's a little different.

Hmm, i would like it the same, i don't want to spoil too much before i get the real game. I am going to check out every single wall in the demo just for an excuse to play the demo more and more and more.

Here it can be seen that the textures are much higher res than in the jetpack video.

Even though Loke beat me to it: Console Version. 'nuff said.
The textures are naturally going to be shrunk for both console versions.
PS3 being the worst. (Due to horrid RAM limitations - 256mb, compared to the 360's 512mb).

The worst-case scenario I can think of, is if that was the PC version, DNF might be using Texture Streaming, and the texture hasn't fully streamed in yet during that scene. If so, the fix is fairly simple - if you have assloads of available Video RAM, disable Texture Streaming in the game's INIs before playing.

Also, enlarging your font like that is a bit obnoxious. We're not blind.

Some "news" from the german magazine called "PC Action":

- They played the german PC version (first 6 hours), with Mouse+Keyboard on 30" TFT
- Good news for germans: the game seems to be really uncut
- They played 6 hours, but only talk about the parts we already know (surprise, surprise )
- You can play basketball, dumbbells or pinball
- This is one surprise: they talk about 10 player multiplayer limit on the PC version.
- They were allowed to make 2, yes TWO, tiny exclusive screenshots. One showing the stationary big gun battle against the alien mothership (from the leaked video 2009), the other one a statue/sculpture in the casino, very tiny shots. The two shots the show are handpicked by 2K. Seriously, what are they hiding?
- They claim that the PC version looks much better than the console version, because of higher textures, water/smoke effect/motion blur look sharper on PC

They also guess that in the next issue of the magazine they'll have the full version on review.

I don't think it's so much that they're hiding anything but more that they just don't won't give anything more away to spoil fans. Personally I'd be pretty pissed if they showed and talked about most of the game pre-release. I want to play the game, not read about it, and I'm sure most fans feel the same way. We are all gagging for more information about the game but they are doing that without needing to show off all the different environments in the game and ruining a lot of the easter eggs.

Just knowing the Halo joke is too much in my opinion. Isn't it far more enjoyable to find things like that yourself without knowing about it before hand?

I think he's referring to the third shot, which looks in-game to me (e.g. aliasing + low polycount on objects).
It's the nicest footage of the current DNF I've seen so far, despite the rediculously sized soda cups.

NM, I just read the entry on the DNF page.
It's an in-engine concept image, then.

The new trailer is awesome, nice titties.
Also the music fits for the trailer, it is not hip-hop or rap, i don't like that kind of genre.

I am sure that the launch trailer will contain the Grabbag theme.

You know save the best for the last.

I wish they'd release more "what would Duke do?" type clips. Those were entertaining, informative, and overall better than a new trailer unless they go full out on it.

It's not exactly media but I didn't think this deserved it's own thread so... I was looking through the highlights of the latest nVidia driver for my card and amongst other games, the 3D vision game profile has been added for Duke Nukem Forever. Not entirely sure what it means, or even how new it is but I found it interesting, hence the post.

It means DNF will have excellent support for this technology
http://www.nvidia.co...e-users-uk.html

as you can see here
http://www.nvidia.co...d-games-uk.html

To play most games properly you'll need a powerful card, at least a GeForce GTX 580. Who knows, maybe someday I'll get to play DNF in 3D with my GTX 560 Ti if I get a 120 Hz LCD, hopefully getting playable frame rates.

Was the game shown in Japan recently? Those images kind of look like someone took pictures from a TV screen, and the whiteboard has a Japanese flag and writing.
