Eduke32 Source

Is Eduke32 an open source? I was thinking about rewriting part of the engine to learn how it works. I found the Linux source, but I never understood anything Linux related. Any help as to where I can find a Windows version of the source?

Because the website plainly says that EDuke32 is open source, the codebase for all versions is the same, and if you weren't able to figure that out then you probably aren't going to have much luck rewriting the engine. So, I tried to be optimistic and assumed this thread was some kind of strange joke and not just an embarrassment to you.

Of all the outrageous and criminal things you've done, this is one that I'm having a hard time believing. :)

Because it sucks.

I tried having a go at compiling it but because I'm terrible at shit like that it was a failure. For someone more competent it would be relatively easy though.

No one will scare away Spirrwell--he is a POST MACHINE and as long as he is well maintained he will continue posting for long after all of us have died.

In all seriousness, I am happy to have new members and would hate for anyone to be scared off just because we messed with them.

We all have a bit of Duke's sarcasm here, don't we? :)

Even a kid can search info about eduke32 just by searching google. And all the needed info is also in eduke32's official home.

A real programmer or an experienced user could find even further info and would never ask silly questions such as: Is eduke32 source available publicly?

I think he came here just to laugh at us. He wasn't serious about helping eduke32 devs. So TX acted like he should.
