    Here's our (MetHunter, MRCK, me & Merlijn van Oostrum) Metropolitan Mayhem, a 15-map (including one secret map and four boss maps) epic episode in the style of the original 3DR city maps.

  2. Mouse doesn't work in EDuke32

    The latest public build (from last October) works fine but every version after that is broken as far as using mouse to play goes. I first noticed this using a version of EDuke32 from last November, the one that came with WGR2. I then posted this in the WGR2 thread:

    Here's what happens: If I move the mouse to, say, the right, the player view moves to the right by a very small amount and then stops even though I keep moving the mouse. If I want to take the look further to the right, I have to lift the entire mouse and repeat the process (or just make stops while moving the mouse).

    I then noticed that if I move the mouse extremely slowly, there are no stops and it works "normally", but obviously no one can play like this. I have tried every mouse setting in the game's mouse settings menu.

    This sucks because upcoming TCs such as the AMC TC use post-October versions of EDuke32 (but I can still test my map with the October version however).

    Sorry dude but there's no way we're gonna support an EDuke32 version from 2009. That'd equal to a severe downgrade of our mod and it'd completely fuck up visibility in our maps, particularly the last map.

    I really want to play it. I could send you the version which I have. It says there are error in the cons: dnfgame.con and ebike.con. I think they're just cosmetics.

    I have no idea what that means. What is the "2009 version of Eduke"? What cons (you mentioned "the" cons)?

    Mikko, thanks for your current MSDN update. It was on my mind only, but I didn't have to ask. It's nice my map is described along with HL2 map as this game really influenced my level [real world gave me some ideas too ;-)].

    There's a switch that opens both blue doors. It's to the right of the room with the rotating wall/door.

    Hey Mikko, I've got one last question for "the Gate". I am currently on e4l6, overlords. I went into the two red door with the alien face on them in the center arena, and killed two of the Brains. But when I take the teleporter back, the remaining (blue and yellow) doors with the aliens faces didn't open. Is there something I have to do to get them open? Thanks man.

    Thanks, I didn't realize the entrance was mid underwater and kept looking at the top part.
    Also, are there any chance for a sequel to distractions?

    Hug the right (viewed from the start of the level) underwater wall or type dnshowmap.

    hm...I still can't find it. Can you post a screenshot of where the path is? Or could it be a bug in eduke?

    Just jump into the water and look at your map; it should show a path.
    It's one of my favorite levels, by the way.
