  2. 64bit eduke memory usage

    13 December 2018 - 09:48 AM

    update on this:

    https://forums.duke4...is-this-normal/

i've been testing various releases of 64 bit Eduke32 and found that between r6880 and r6884 the memory usage (in polymost) went from 80 mb to 400 mb
it only happens on 64 bit versions.
  3. inconsistent autoaim

    01 December 2018 - 09:38 PM

    addendum to: https://forums.duke4...page__p__309678

aiming under an enemy doesn't make autoaim always kick in, but it seems to work on flying enemies

this started in r6945 ( r6940 doesn't have this problem)

    i'm using r7241
  4. is this normal?

    24 November 2018 - 12:12 PM

is this normal? 32 bit eduke uses around 40 - 50 mb of ram, but with 64 bit it uses around 420 - 480 mb, this is using the base game only (no mods of any kind) with the polymost renderer and the exact same graphical settings.

just wanted to know if these numbers are normal or there may be something off on my end, i'm using windows 8.1 64 bits

EDIT: the difference is nowhere near as drastic in classic

    classic:

    32 bit 40 - 50 mb
    64 bit 80 - 90 mb

    polymost:

    32 bit 40- 50 mb
    64 bit 420 - 480 mb
