  1. [RELEASE] White Noise

    Hey everyone,
    here is the offical release of my mod "White Noise".


    Some of you already know the first map from my older thread. But since then a lot has changed.

    • I made some changes in the first map. Especially in the beginning.
    • Gameplay has changed. (e.g. Autorun is enabled)
    • There are now footsteps sounds.
    • a lot more textures, sprites and sounds
    • Two new maps. Actually it was one, but I had to split it in two.
    • New enemies (no more Octabrains)

    All other informations you need to know are in the readme file attached in the Zip or in the description on moddb.

    To the native english speakers: If you like to help me with correcting grammar of the messages which are lying around the maps, feel free to contact me :-)

    Great thanks to Zykov Eddy for helping me with coding!
    And thanks to XThX2 for letting me use your footsteps code.
  2. WHITE NOISE (horror themed map)

    Hi there,
    I would like to share my new singleplayer map WHITE NOISE.


    If you like horror games, then you might like it. It has a dark atmosphere and a lot of "horror stuff".

    Before you download: the map uses polymer light only. If you turn it off, you don't see anything. So be aware.
    Further informations are in the read me file.

  3. Switching on polymer lights and ambient sound

    I searched in these forums (and the internet) but didn't find a thread or post about it. If I overlooked one please delete my post or merge both together. But I would like to share what I found out.


    I discovered a way to turn on Polymer lights with Switches / Touchplates. This even works with ambient sound.

    All you need to activate it is the ACTIVATORLOCKED Sprite in the sector of your poly light.
    Side effect is, you always get the unlocked/locked message unless you deactivate messages or delete it in the user.con.

    There are two things I haven't figured out by now:

    #1 How to have polymer lights already turned on from the beginning
    #2 How to turn off the music again

    For #1 you can alternatively place a touchplate somewhere in the map where the player has to walk through in order to turn on the lights.

    You can have a look by yourself. I put the map in the attachments. And maybe someone can figure out how to turn off the music

    Hello, this is my first level I published ever on the internet :)
    It's called WHITE NOISE.

    It has new graphics, new sounds, new music and a slightly changed gameplay.
    The running speed is reduced and I deactivated autorun. If you run through the level you might miss some nice details ;-)

    There a calm sections, huge battles (I suggest saving in regular intervals), platforming and something very different at the end.
    I put a lot of details in the world. I also put some references to pop culture and some cameos in it.

    There is a story. But it's not told directly. I put some hints for you so you can make a conclusion.

    - Download it here: https://we.tl/ZPnSrBAp2x
    - Unzip the folder where your eduke32.exe is located.
    - start eduke32.exe -> select WHITENOISE in "Custom game content directory"
    - play with polymer activated

    I hope this works. Like I said before, it's my first level ever I published on the internet (+custom game content).

    Do you have any troubles? Please let me know. Or maybe tell me how I can fix it.

  5. Singleplayer Map (no Name yet)

    this is my first post ever in this forum.
    After nearly 16 years I'm making a level again. This time with new textures, sprites... looots of details. Platforming. Calm sections. (Hard) battles.
    The gameplay will be a little different. The running speed is reduced, ammo and health packs are short.
    There will be lots of references and cameos to discover. This level is full of details :-)

    I changed some things in the user.con and defs.con. So this is best played with the 20 Anniversary Edition.
    Naturally Duke is running way tooo fast for this kind of level.

    Unfortunalety Duke3D has been "some kind of forbidden" in Germany until 2016 the 20th anniversary version came out. And since Megaton was taken from steam I only got the con files from the 20th anniversary edition. I intended to put a sprint key but this doesn't work in the latest edition :-(

    I need one or two testers. If you would like to help me, just get in touch with me and I will give you a download link :-)
