Come on Randy and Gearbox! Give Duke fans some love here!

Sorry I couldn't be back sooner but my father passed away and my brothers and I had to lay him to rest. He was 66. I Love you Dad.
So back on topic, I have to think Gearbox is doing *something* with the Duke I.P. I've heard everything from releasing the previous builds, a remastered DNF, Duke Begins, Duke 3D Reloaded to an all new Duke Game. Grain of salt of course.
I guess we'll see in a few weeks. Oh and Gearbox saying they aren't showing Borderlands 3 is semantics. Some folks over at NeoGAF have a thread where they're discussing that Microsoft signed numerous deals with publishers to"showcase" games *first* on Xbox One X and among those is apparently Borderlands. I have no doubts it'll be there. Plenty of time has passed for the game development wise and it should be in excellent shape by now to show off.
I just hope we'll get something Duke related as well.
    Take care everyone,-Kaiser

From my understanding Gearbox *IS* attempting to get the 2001 build together ie complete along with some other playable builds(from previous incarnations of DNF) and will *possibly* release this
as some type of Duke Nukem Forever Legacy Collection.

Really pumped to play the 2001 version! Let's hope Gearbox can pull it off!

    -Always bet on Duke. Always.

  4. In Topic: Randy-Gearbox Please give us a remastered Duke Nukem Forever using Unreal Engine 4!

Damien-you totally nailed it! Nice to see you btw! What you wrote is also a big part of my reasoning as well. Gearbox did a hell of a job with the game but you can still kinda feel like it was "stitched" together. No fault of theirs btw as we all know.

They could probably streamline a few things here or there, improve some a.i. encounters, etc.

And I'm a huge mark for Unreal Engine 4. I just think it's a fantastic freaking engine and DNF being remastered in UE4 would really make it "pop" and give it a really nice "next gen ie current gen" look imho.

And I do believe there's money to be made on re-releasing a WELL MADE remaster of the game. A lot of money.

    Cheers!

  5. In Topic: Duke Nukem in Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One" movie

So many awesome references in that trailer alongside Duke.

    I spotted:
    - Harley Quinn and Deathstroke when the guy enters that walk way.
    - Mad Max's Black on Black V8 Intercept in the race along with the Van from the A Team.
    - Freddy Kruger and the Halo Assault Rifle in the scene with Duke.

    Hyped for this movie.

You know, I've got the book and only read a few chapters in. I really should finish it as I'm a "child of the 80's".

I'm especially interested to find out if Spielberg was able to use Tsuburaya Japan's "Ultraman" in the movie. I grew up watching that.

Alot of people thought this would be one of those movies that could never be done "justice" because it depended on so much nostalgia and I.P. owned by different
companies. Many of whom were thought would never lend/rent their I.P. to the movie. Folks over on Aint-It-Cool-News have said(grain of salt) that there will indeed
be a TON of characters/I.P that show up in the movie so hopefully this will turn out well.

So pumped that Duke Nukem made it into the movie, if only for a few brief seconds.

    Cheers everyone!
