  1. Useractor glitch

    I'm not sure if this was reported before, or if it was already fixed (Sorry if so), but there was a bug that I noticed when using version r6640 (and I tested this with r6694 and it still exist).

    I've noticed that when playing on easier skill levels (like piece of cake, or skill 0 which have no enemies or items) useractor enemies that have lotags for only apeearing on lets rock, etc. still appear despite i'm not playing on lets rock, or above. But however, they are fully brighten up, even when in dark environments, and they won't move at all, like as if they were statues. Also they cannot be killed either (But they can turn if you hit them). This doesn't happen with the vanilla Duke 3D enemies as far as I know.

    EDIT: Apparently this can also happen to Protector Drones as well, but weirdly it only happens when playing with mods, it doesn't happen when playing Eduke32 with vanilla Duke 3D. Did I broke something?

    EDIT2: Nevemind I'm such a idiot. I did something in EVENT_SPAWN that caused this bug. Should've studied this more, but I don't think straight. I can fix this. I'm sorry for the trouble. :(
  2. [RELEASE] The Abandoned Mine Shaft

    PLEASE READ BEFORE PLAYING!

    To play the map properly, bring out everything from the zip (Sounds, art, con), and put it in your Eduke32 folder. After that, run the .bat that was included in the zip. If you don't, the map won't run properly.

    THE ABANDON MINE SHAFT


    Duke has stopped the Prison Train from going to who knows where. It came to a stop near a mountain in a middle of nowhere. Duke got off the train saying "Looks like i'm getting off here!" he saw an entrance to a cave in the nearby mountain. Near it was an EDF box with a laptop on it, and right next to it was a dead EDF soldier. Duke then said to himself, "Maybe I can use this to contact HQ, and let them know that I'm still alive." He then sended a signal to EDF HQ!

    Meanwhile, at EDF HQ, a EDF Soldier saw that they were getting a signal. He then said "We are receiving a signal at the entrance of the abandon mine shaft!" General Graves then said " That must be Team Charlie, I hope it's good news!" He then opened up the transmission and started to say "Team Charlie, this is General Graves here, what is you're stat..." Then he realized it wasn't Team Charlie, but instead was Duke Nukem. He then went "Duke?! Is that you?" Duke replied saying, "Yes sir, It's me!" Graves then asked "What happened? We lost you're signal when you were at the Outpost!" Duke replied saying "Those alien bastards captured me once again! They took me on board on this Prison Train, going to who knows where, but I escaped, and put a stop to the Train once and for all, as you can see behind me!"

    Graves then said "Well, Good work on stopping the Prison Train, Duke! But it's not over yet! The aliens had invaded this cave here! They're probably digging for resources here! Intel suggests that they are being led by two of their Elemental Warriors!" "Elemental Warriors?" Duke asked. Graves replied "Yes! they look like the Emperor, but they come in different colors, and depending on what color they are, can do powerful elemental attacks!" Duke then said "Sounds like trouble, but I've seen worse!" Graves then said "We know that an Fire and Ice types exists, and they are in this cave! Go in and take them out! Good luck Duke! Over and out!" The Transmission has ended. Duke then said to himself "I'm going to teach these Elemental Cycloids a lesson they will never forget, and that involves with me shoving my foot up their asses!"

    That's a long Story! :P

    Anyways, This is my Seventh map for Duke 3D! I started this map in April Shortly after finishing Gotcha!, and finished in July! (I did also went on Vacation as well, so it did took a little longer.)

    As for the new enemies, oh boy there are several of them. This map has the return of Snake Head, Underwater Drone, Freezer Lizard, Lizard Trooper with blue uniforms, Mini Overlord, and Mini Cycloid emperor. First up are Expander Enforcers, they are a bit stronger than a regular Enforcer, and can attack with an expander Chaingun (Ouch!). Next are Ice, and Fire Snake Heads who are both stronger than the regular Snake Head and have a stronger bite then them too. They can fire either Freezers, or Expanders at you. Next are the Ice Octabrains. They are Blue Octabrains who are a stronger than a regular Octabrain and can Fire Ice Mindblasts at you, which can travel twice as far than a regular MindBlast, but deals about the same damage, but can actually freeze you too. Lastly there's the Assault Lieutenant. These guys wear Gray uniforms, and carries a Napalm Cannon, which can fire Fireballs at you, and up close, it acts like a FlameThrower which can do a lot of damage. Stay away from them at all costs. They are stronger than an Octabrain, but weaker than an Assault Commander, or a Protector Drone. Also there are two new "Bosses" in this map them Being Elemental Cycloids. They come in different colors doing different kinds of elemental attacks. So far only an Ice, and Fire ones have been Discovered (And are in this map), but there could be more in the Future. They are still smaller and weaker then the other bosses in the game, but can still be a threat if you're not careful, Unless you use Devastator on them :P

  3. Frozen by a custom projectile bug

    So yesterday, I created a new projectile for a custom enemy (The Ice Mind Blast for the blue Octabrain), and as such, I made it so if Duke were to be killed by this projectile, he would become frozen like with the freezer. But however, when he becomes frozen from the Ice Mind Blast, he would end up looking at the enemy who froze him. While normally this would happen when Duke is killed by an enemy, but this doesn't occur with the freezer at all.

    Here's an comparison. Here's what happens when an Ice Snake head freezes Duke with the Freezer.

    Now here's what happens when Duke becomes frozen by an Blue Octabrain's Ice Mind blast.

    As you can see, Duke keeps looking at the Ice Octabrain despite he is frozen, like as if he's dead, but he isn't (At least not yet ofcourse).

    GOTCHA!

    This map is a remake of the DOOM II level Gotcha! Reimagined in Duke 3D. This one might be more basic since it is a remake of a Doom II map. But it can still be fun, and quite difficult, especially the boss fight in the beginning.

    With the exception of the Mini Cycloid Emperor and the bigger Bosses that won't end the level, There are no new enemies on this level at all (No Snake Heads, No PigCop Captains, etc.).

    There are two bugs That I am aware of (Well three if you count OverLord floating until he sees you). Firstly The Big Overlord can hurt himself with his own rockets, and the Big Battlelord can appear small, but once he sees you, He'll instantly becomes huge (Reminds me of Total Meltdown in a way :P ).

  5. [RELEASE] The Theme Park

    The Theme Park

    This is just your average everyday theme park, but it's filled with aliens.

    The story is Duke wanted to go to a Theme Park for his vacation. But then he found out that the Aliens had taken over the Theme Park. So it's up to Duke to clear out the Theme Park filled with Aliens. (Yep back with sucky stories :P )

    This is my fifth map for Duke 3D. I started this one back in November, and finished in February. This is probably my biggest map yet for I just reached the original 1024 sector limit, and 8192 wall limit.

    This level includes 4 new enemies, plus 4 returning enemies. Firstly is the Pig in a Dress From Total Meltdown. They are pretty much similar to how they were in TM, in which they will use dule weild Pistols, and are a little more Stronger than Normal Pigcops. Then there are the smaller Protector Drone, These guys are smaller and weaker than the normal Protector Drone, and do less damage when they scratch you. Then there is the Bigger Protector Drone. These guys are bigger and stronger than the normal Protector Drone, and can do more damage when they scratch you. And lastly there is the Freezer Trooper from Last reaction and Water Bases. These are Lizard Troopers who wear Yellow Uniforms and are a little stronger than the Lizard Captain. They can fire freezers at you and can Teleport just like the Lizard Captains. This level also includes Lizard troopers in Blue Uniforms from TM (Prison Train), Pig Cop Captains (Prison Train), Underwater Drones (Dawn of the Pork), and Mini Overlord (Dawn of the Pork).
