  1. In Topic: Mapping questions thread

So, after a really long Mapster32 break, I'm back into action. Sadly, I've forgotten lots of how the level editor works, so I'm checking tutorias again and whatnot.

After a nightshift, I've been toying around with TROR and a doubt came to my mind: is it possible to "disconnect" two sectors joined by TROR, change the shape of the extended loop and then reconnect them again?

I've been trying with Ctrl + J and that sort of thing without success. I'm not sure if this is doable or not. Or if I should erase one of the sectors attached to the extended loop and then start again. :(

    Any advice?

    Thanks. :)

Seems legit. Reaaaally expired, but legit. :dukeaffirmative:

But, seriously... just free water? Well... it'll have to do.

Now, back on topic. I think that, with a full weaponry at start, Mikko would have a lot of chances to win. Just a scratch of his Red Materia Gun should be enough to kill a living being. :o

It's been requested; finally the AMC Squad will be able to utilize the power of the Precog brains for their own operations, once researched.

Damn... that feature turned out better than I expected. And with an element we have seen previously throughout the game, too. Nice one, James. ;)

About using them being inadvisable... the AMC Squad, by the time EP3 gets released, will have an immense amount of dangerous weapons and researches. So, like always, being good or bad depends on how it is used - using the precog brains to slingshot an airship to distant planets through the Abyss dimension was a BAD idea, lol

BTW my question is about the cars we see around some levels ... When we press use near them it says it's too heavy to pick up "BUT" .... What does this "But" imply ? We can't blow up the car, we can't drive it or move it ... Were they supposed to be drivable/blow-upable ?

    Hey, it's been a while... :)

What that "BUT" means is that if you press use on them while under steroids-replacement effect something awesome will happen. ;)

Episode 3 does change the formula a bit compared to the difference between Episodes 1 and 2. I'd like to think my maps are quite ambitious for one reason or another.

Of course, your EP2's maps are ambitious as well, man. 'Ghost Ship' is unforgettable. And your aid in the China story made the whole experience fun, dynamic and visually appealing.

I admire Loke's concept and vision of his maps. And that he is able to use a texture partially, or change the shade/palette of one to make it look like it matches with another one from a different 'group' and make the whole area look good.
This technique, combined with TROR and his use of sprites, gives an... "Unrealish" look to his maps.

As far as I'm concerned, your contribution to EP3 is going to be astonishing. So keep it up! (As long as your PhD allows it, that is :P) :dukeaffirmative:
