  1. Duke Nukem joining "Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan"

    08 September 2017 - 11:14 AM

    Here's the announcement:

What Hack’n’Slash MMORPG would be complete without a strong cast? That’s why we are thrilled to announce the addition of the legendary Duke Nukem to Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan’s already deadly dozen!

We have been working in collaboration with Gearbox Publishing to bring our favourite videogame tough-guy to the planet Titan. The Broken had better be worried, the Duke is coming to scrap them and chew bubblegum, and guess what? He’s all outta’ gum.

Pre-order the SciFi Action MMORPG now to get access to the Alpha Test! https://igg.me/at/WildBuster

  2. Future Duke music.

    27 August 2017 - 11:26 AM

I've been thinking a lot about what the music for the next Duke game, or even the movie, should be like. Personally I think something along the lines of Harold Faltermeyer. Duke is an 80's action hero-like character, so it'd make sense for the music to mirror this. Thus giving the game/movie a score like something from Harold Faltermeyer would be perfect, in my opinion. Listen to his music from Tango & Cash, or even Cop Out, it's very reminiscent of Duke Nukem 3D's music.

But there are other options, the new Doom had a great soundtrack, so something like that wouldn't be too bad. Another option would be to just go full on rock, with maybe a slight bit of orchestral. What do you think? :dukecigar:
  3. [RELEASE] Atomic Crisis BETA

    01 August 2017 - 01:59 PM

This is the BETA release of Atomic Crisis, which is still early in development. PsychoGoatee and my brother both suggested that I release the first two maps, in order to gauge feedback. So here they are. Keep in mind these are not the final outcomes of these levels, depending on feedback they are subject to change. Also keep in mind these two levels are the only levels in the entire game that won't be set in New York, so don't freak out, please. Just unzip it, and add the Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition GRP into the file, as well as a current version of Eduke32, and it should work. If there are any problems please tell me, because I didn't have any problems getting it to run.

    Please give honest feedback about:

    Level design
    Detail
    Enemy placement
    Custom textures
    Custom sounds
And anything you feel the need to mention.

I'm trying to give this my all, so please bear with me as I go forward. With your help I hope to make this a very fun and enjoyable game. :dukecigar:

    Attached File  BETA.zip (6.59MB)
    Number of downloads: 89

P.S. I'm going to delay progress on Atomic Crisis while I finish my upcoming standalone map, which is supposed to be a sequel to Penthouse Paradise, in a way at least... I'm hoping for a Christmas Eve release for this map.
  4. Shotgun glitch

    29 July 2017 - 11:21 AM

I'm using BAFed to replace the sprites in Atomic Crisis, and I seem to have run into a problem. I replaced the Shotgun's sprites and, when I fire, this happens:

    Posted Image

Any help? I made sure everything is the same as the original. Offsets are the same, and so are the sizes of the images. I don't know what to do, I haven't had this problem with any of the other weapons... except the Assault Rifle, but that's because it's much bigger than the original.
  5. How can I make custom MIDI's?

    22 July 2017 - 07:06 PM

I've been working on Atomic Crisis more frequently now, and I don't really want to just steal someone else's music without their permission. Does anyone know of a free MIDI making program? I've found a few, but I don't know which ones I can trust. I just want to be able to have custom songs in my game. :dukecigar:
