That really sucks. Why do all games do that these days, I really don't get it. This should be a feature when you're playing on easy ONLY.

Yes, I intend to do a follow-up to cover the game logistics.

The ego works just like in Call of Duty (rechargeable), except you can add to its total by doing Dukely things like pissing in toilets and admiring yourself int he mirror.

I didn't encounter any health packs. See above for for my opinion on 2-weapon system.

Like Call of duty 2? You mean it increases over time then? You're sure it's not just when looking in the mirror or or killing aliens?
Thank you for the reply, looking forward to your game logistics article!

Yatta, any chance in a spoiler-less preview? I don't want to know how the game starts,, which bosses to fight, etc...
    I'm particularly interested in these:

    - How does the health system work? I assume it's probably ego based, but I'm curious how it exactly works (shooting an enemy = ego, or do you have to kill them? And can you pickup health packs? etc...)
    - Does the two weapon limit bother? (I'm a PC gamer and don't like console influences, but it worked in games like Far Cry, hence my question ;) Can't see how it'd work in a Duke game though)

I'm currently playing Monkey Island and I'm positively surprised. I thought it would seem bland because it lacks speech and environmental sounds. The sound is very basic (only some background music, and doors that open or close). But I'm happy I was wrong. Hopefully I'll also be wrong about dying in adventure games. I might be able to enjoy that, but I KNOW I will hate those dead ends. No games should have dead ends except puzzle games with tiles on a grid like Supaplex
I'm stuck for 3 days already but today I got a step further: I discovered you can give the breathing mints to Toothrot! Yes, yes...! But it's probably useless though
Don't spoil anything of course, I don't want any hints.

OK, I finished the game :) Now a bit clicking around in MI 2 and then I can move on to Gabriel Knight
