Well I guess that's possible, but all was working well, then the SVN update suddenly stopped in mid-flow and then I could no longer access duke4.net or eduke32.com. Strangely I can ping both sites having used nslookup to get the ip address.

My account with my ISP hasn't got any sites blocked etc. on, so I'll check my router hasn't blocked the site for some bizarre reason. I can access both sites just fine via my MiFi hot spot. which is connected to the Internet via the same ISP/mobile provider.

Looks like whatever was caising the problem has now been fixed. I can access the site and SVN no trouble at all now. I wonder what caused the problem.

    Weird!

If anyone on this site did something to fix the problem, grateful thanks!

Perhaps the website has an IP range ban that your provider somehow falls into?

Welp, that fixed the quit game crash, and the loading seems to work fine as well! Thanks a lot.

    Have you tried this?
    Shadow Warrior DosBox Launcher

Comes with a load of add-on levels too! If you have the original CD or a pukka purchased download (GOG.com), it will even install the game for you.
  4. In Topic: Help needed with Vacation+ HRP

    20 September 2016 - 02:21 AM

    Here 'tis!

It's really odd, because if I go back to using the non-HRP graphics in Eduke, all is OK. It's only when I use the HRP which, as far as DN3D standard graphics are concerned, they're all appearing in HR. It only seems to be the Vacation-specific graphics such as the bananas and water pistol etc.(both ordinary and HR) that are missing when I use the HRP.

Is there a separate SVN sync http for the Vacation HRP? If I go to the Hendricks266 download link, there doesn't seem to be any way to download the HR graphics pack, just a link to the web page. Is it just a case of manually downloading the files/folders from those listed on the Subversion repository web page
    Vacation Repository link ?

I did wonder whether the problem was because I don't have the file vacation.grp in my Edkue folder, but the files vaca15.ssi and vacapp.ssi. Do I need to do a full install somwhere else to get the vacation.grp file?
  5. In Topic: Blood Dosbox Launcher For Xp and Vista

    07 June 2016 - 02:40 AM

Just encountered a similar problem to Octobane in that the main Blood game (OUWB in my case) works fine in Windows 10 but none of the TC/Addons do, with the game trying to load, pausing for a moment on "initiating sound system" (which gave me a clue) and then dropping back to the Launcher menu.

To cut a long story short, the problem was that in the Dosbox sound setup screen, the Gravis Ultrasound sound emulation was shown as enabled. Disabling this fixed the problem. After testing I went back into Dosbox sound setup screen and disabled all but the sound card I was emulating (SB16). All works fine now.

Just thought I'd pass this on to help anyone else who may be having the same problem.
