    He's basically implying that retailers might not be interested in stocking a relatively old game on their shelves - as it might not get the sales they're looking for - and that you should campaign for interest in creating a physical edition. However, why should Gamestop be concerned about physical copies? Shouldn't the developer/publisher be looking over that?

    Even a semi-indie game like Shadow Warrior got a physical release and it was relatively unknown compared to the big FPS hits like Call of Duty, Far Cry, Battlefield etc.

    Fresch from 3D Realms commented here once that the 2001 version had a sort of "hub world" - being Las Vegas - and that you'd travel to different areas on your Motorbike. These would be broken up with very short loading screens like the original Half Life. It sort of "open world" to an extent - but nothing like GTA where you can go where you please.

    In all seriousness though - I'm looking forward to the new levels and music but I'm not sure about spending that amount of money for a product I've already bought and owned multiple times. I love Duke 3D as much as the next Duke fan - but its getting to a point where this many re-releases is starting to get silly. I'll wait until the Community consensus drops and might grab it when the Steam Winter sale starts though.

    So a new Duke 3D expansion? Not bad, but I'd prefer a new Duke game to be honest. Hopefully this sets the path towards Duke 5 if it sells well.

    Talking about Build stuff - whatever happened to that Bombshell 3D Build Engine game? Did it ever get released?

    In Timesplitters 2, you could play various games on your Datapad. You'd find them in the levels, each with their own music too.


    Here's examples of some below.




    It's the same with Fallout 4, you could find in-game magazines that gave you games to play on your Pip-boy.
