Topics I've Started

  1. Thank you!

    25 March 2018 - 11:46 PM

I just wanted to take a little bit of my time to thank m210 for all his work on Blood and now even wichaven.

Thank you so very much for making these old games playable with smooth framerate, fixes and modern features.

I was one of the first to donate to Bloodgdx i think, and i will continue to do so in the future,

For this is truly heartwarming for me and thousands of fans around the world who by this time right before Bloodgdx never would imagine to play any other way than in dosbox.

So from the bottom of my geeky old school fps heart.. thank you!

    Best regards!
  2. Map making help.

    22 October 2017 - 03:28 AM

I might be totally off track here so please correct me if im wrong.

I made quite a number of DooM maps some years ago.

Having no prior knowlage of level editors and assisting programs i learned by myself as a teenager how DooMbuilder worked (to some lenght anyway) I got 3d floors going using Doom legacy source port as it was the only one supporting it back then.

Anyway it has been ages upon ages since i tinkered with map making. And the sudden arise of Blood has made my intrest going high once more.

I tried Mapster32 a few years ago but this editor is not at all like the DooMbuilder i come accustomed with... i was totally handicapped trying to even asemble one sector and start it in game... :P

Are there any good newcomer video guides out there on how to make maps for build games, especially blood?

Also are there future plans to make a more user friendly editor for the build games later on ?

    Best regards!
  3. Feature request.

I would really like it if the name of the map would apear in text when you exit a level and transition to another.

Only thing that happens now when you exit a map is the statistics come up and then the new map starts when you press a button.

Why not have a text come up on screen when a new map starts or a screen just before entering a map saying (now entering bowels of the earth) for example.

As it is now you need to open the automap to see the levels name in the upper right corner of the screen,

Anyway it would be cool if this was in the game.
  4. Want to replace mid files in sound.RFF

    30 September 2017 - 10:02 AM

I want to open up the SOUNDS.RFF and replace all mid files with these http://www.vgmpf.com....php/Blood_(DOS)#Music

These are from what i understand (and please correct me if im wrong) recorded with the roland sc-55 and is the best i can get midi wise until some other file support is added.

Any way to emulate roland sc-55 using a plugin or something?

    I really some the roland.
  5. Roland SC-55 music pack.

    07 September 2017 - 12:15 AM

Support for mp3/ogg and preferably flac to be able to use this music pack http://sc55.duke4.net/games.php#blood

    Such crisp clear audio...

Never had anything fancy when i was a kid, i would probaly be crazy about that sound quality of the Roland if i had it back in the 90s.
