The world tour enemies were taken out, that screenshot with the firefly is old. Most of the world tour textures were also replaced, but one or two slipped through the net.

I was specifically looking out for Duke in that movie, and knew where hed be, however even I missed his appearance because it was so damn short.

Could I ask a favour of someone to write a quick mapster script function to achieve the described effect?

Is there some mapster script to be able to insert a particular sprite at the centre of all highlighted sectors? Ideally the sprite would have all the properties of that in the clipboard, but otherwise a particular tile number would do. There's a really, really cool effect I want to pull off, but it requires adding effector sprites to around 900 sectors...

Also, I've started having a very random "out of memory" error when trying to start the AMC TC. It's not the most recent eduke32, but for various reasons we can't currently update beyond this version. Also, James isn't getting this error on his computer.

That last sentence in John Carmack's message is roughly Ion Maiden's development in a nutshell.

Is there a particular feature or set of features you had in mind when you said that, more so than others?

I didn't think about potential irregularity. For the particular area I'm thinking of, the vast majority of the sectors are 4-sided and concave. It should be relatively straightforward to fix the remaining sectors. Essentially I'm trying to move a lot of sectors upwards, so it needs the activator (and possibly a speed sprite) in each sector.

Congrats on "Mapper of the Month" over at Scent-88! A well overdue accolade. All the best going forward, I miss our 24 hr. mapping sessions thanks to the timezone offset we made some stellar mapping progress! Take care!

I don't even know how to place polymer lights or how to scale/rotate sectors. Or create a text by actually typing and now placing sprites. Never used these features.

I'm not good at mapping. Besides I did not keep up with the recent additions like TROR.

Yeah I know about Marathon for iPad.. you can even buy a HRP for it on there. I don't have an iPad though so I just play Marathon via Aleph One and with the XBLA HRP I got at the pfhorums it looks very good. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28944/marathonxbla.jpg

Oh, that's very nice. I might be needing 4 sectors stacked with very simple architecture and I wasn't sure if it was possible. Need to download some test map to see how I should proceed.
