You can't get rid of Java in his port...his port is coded in Java :).

I already got rid of the Java in his port. Now it's gone from my hard drive Posted Image

I thought it was 1 mil... still more than any of us have!

If it was as little as $1 million, wouldn't Devolver have bought it? I recall them saying it was way more expensive than they anticipated.

What's the deal with this project? Is there some kind of release thread with a description and download?

don't try and run it with polymer, it doesn't support skyboxes and other things and will just look awful.

Putting frame rate aside, the biggest issue would be the lack of skybox functionality and other showview-related effects. Another concern is that the draw distance will always slice the level in half in a very noticeable and ugly fashion as many of the levels are extremely large.

Great to hear this project is getting a new version.

Just wanted to make a small suggestion: don't know if it's possible, but in the first level, from the top floor of the casino, it would be nice to be able to see Las Vegas extending into the horizon, with some lit buildings and casinos. The illusion is slightly broken seeing the starry sky right behind the buildings on the edges of the map. (Video)

    Just sayin'.

Anyway, looking forward to whatever you're cooking up!

Posting from Vegas right now - I can say that the city is incredibly flat building-wise besides the Strip and a few isolated areas. Therefore the current depiction in the first level is valid.

I expected Vader to be in the movie a lot more than he was.

Didn't BM's original release have some guy saying he'd eat his shoe if it didn't happen by a certain date, and then it got postponed past that date?

Congrats on "Mapper of the Month" over at Scent-88! A well overdue accolade. All the best going forward, I miss our 24 hr. mapping sessions thanks to the timezone offset we made some stellar mapping progress! Take care!

I don't even know how to place polymer lights or how to scale/rotate sectors. Or create a text by actually typing and now placing sprites. Never used these features.

I'm not good at mapping. Besides I did not keep up with the recent additions like TROR.

Yeah I know about Marathon for iPad.. you can even buy a HRP for it on there. I don't have an iPad though so I just play Marathon via Aleph One and with the XBLA HRP I got at the pfhorums it looks very good. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28944/marathonxbla.jpg

Oh, that's very nice. I might be needing 4 sectors stacked with very simple architecture and I wasn't sure if it was possible. Need to download some test map to see how I should proceed.
