[ToiletDuck64]

This is another one of my Doom-style maps...it revolves around this big fissure that has fort-castle-tower-y structures in and around it as well as a certain level of...stuff in it, and there's a big floodgate you have to open to change the level of...stuff in the fissure. (This map probably has some of the worst switch abuse I've ever put into a map.)

Just checked it out - I like the gradual draining slime part of the map; I'd definitely recommend throwing in some shading from the sun in your next map for outdoor areas as it would definitely make the map a lot stronger visually. I wasn't terribly fond of the cramped interior and switch hunting part. Gameplay was alright as well, I didn't find any secrets and I'd have to try it on CGS next time. Nice work though, hope you're making more

This was a pretty confusing yet really interesting map. There were two parts that I figured out as a complete fluke:

  I got the red key card by accident. There's an invisible switch that unlocks an elevator that takes you up to the floor with the key card. I wasn't sure how else I was supposed to get up there and I found the invisible switch because the minimap made the elevator look like a secret wall.

  I found the yellow key card by accident as well. I had no idea that the assault commander was guarding it. I actually had trouble killing him because I couldn't look up far enough to shoot him.

I thought it was pretty creative though. When I realized

that the switches were creating a walkway, I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm also glad that you removed the ability to backtrack after a certain point because otherwise I would've spent too much time retracing my steps while trying to figure out where to go. My only real issue is that you were way too generous with health drops. Good stuff and I look forward to seeing more maps.

The "official" way to get up to the red key card floor is to raise seven platforms in that room (by flipping switches in various places) and then jump around on all of them to get to where the top of that elevator is. The elevator you found is there as a failsafe because, if it wasn't there, it would be possible for the player to get trapped in that room with no way to get to the switches and raise the platforms (since that room can't be accessed from "ground" level after you open the floodgate and flood certain areas of the map). When you open the floodgate, a wall panel opens to reveal a switch (the "invisible" switch you found); that switch wasn't meant to be used at all with the wall panel closed. (If I ever release a "version 2" of the map, I'll have to redesign that area to stop the player from unlocking that elevator until after the floodgate opens.)
