Player's legs disappear when walking on floor made up of sprites

I've noticed on my multiplayer usermaps that bridges and stuff like that made up of sprites makes other players' legs disappear when you look at them, while they're standing on the sprites, instead you just see the whole sprite where the legs shouldve have been - looks odd. Is there a workaround, because I'm recreating Nuketown from CoD and the two story buildings are essential for the gameplay but it would be a shame if the whole upper floor looks buggy when players watch eachother walking around up there. The way the doors and windows are placed makes it almost impossible to make room over room - so I'm aiming to build the upper floor out of sprites... which looks buggy, unless there's a fix
