Yeah, I was way too young to see it when it came out, and have never been lucky enough to catch a T2 revival in the following years. Will definitely be sure not to miss it this time round. Both of Carpenter's Terminator movies hold up really well.
Even though I haven't liked his post-Terminator 2 output, I wish he was directing Alita: Battle Angel instead of Robert Rodriguez.

No way. I love them. Despite the clear budget limitations and some wooden acting, Terminator (1984) presents such a consistent, fatalistic tone, which is nicely complimented by fantastic character arcs, it remains one of my favorite films of the 1980s. T2's just a sublime popcorn, action spectacular of badass set pieces and memorable one-liners. The only film that outdoes it is Fury Road (the best action film of all-time - it has no competition).
Edit: Oh, shit, wrong awesome director, LOL!

So, we live in the era where even Hollywood is making old remastered movies, huh? I mean, there were Blu-Rays, but still. Can't complain though, at least those movies were much better than majority of modern Hollywood production and I haven't watched ton of movies I like in theater.
Anyway, really loved the first Terminator, the music especially, there was some cyberpunk feeling there and the movie was comfy as fuck, and man, those 80s haircuts. This shit was great.

Yatta, we share the same great taste in movies! =) I just hope they get the 3D right, so many times they have the potential of making great 3D movies but after watching those 3D movies there might only be 1 or 2 times there is actually a 3D eye popping experience. Most of the 3D only offers picture depth. With this title i really hope they pronounce the 3D and make it pop out of the screen where needed.
