Ceiling texture distortion

I've had a search for this issue, but haven't been able to find anything. Hopefully someone has come across this before. Basically a custom ceiling texture that I'm using displays fine in mapster32, but when I run the game it's distorted/stretched. I noticed that polymer/polymost doesn't have this issue, it's only when running classic renderer. The texture dimension is 512X48, which conforms to the whole 'multiples of 8' rule right?

Top is mapster, bottom is in game.

Floor/ceiling textures must be divisible by power of 2, otherwise they won't work in Classic.

This applies to sprites as well.
