I have working radar display code but it fails badly with SOS. It will show the relative location of enemies based on their map coordinates, which can be very misleading when SOS comes into play. Does anyone have advice on how to handle this?

Check height differences and display lower or higher objects with dimmer shade.

I'm definitely going to show height differences...I was going to use arrows, since I think that will be easier to see at a glance than shade differences.
But if an enemy is separated by SOS (for example in an intersecting tunnel that is totally in accessible from the player's current position) then I would prefer to not display a dot for the enemy at all.
