Hallo people
Is there a easy way to add an rotation animation to a model?
The model should rotate around a horizonatl axis.
I know how to make it in blender. But if I want to make the animation smooth, I'll have to make a lot of frames.
Like 72 frames if I want it to rotate it once around its own axis in 5 degree steps.

Is this a project where you can include CON code? If so, then you could just rotate the model with a few lines of code without adding any animation.

Hallo Dan
Is there such a code in DukePlus? Or is there already a feature to do so in mapster?

I've managed to make a 17 frame animation. But I won't be able to texture it because it rotates only by 18 degrees.

If you are adding the model as an actor to DukePlus, then I could easily add the code. It would look something like this:
useractor notenemy YOURTILENUMBER 0 geta[].ang angvar add angvar 32 seta[].ang angvar enda

That would be great if you can make this.
Is it possible to give a model specific rotaion speed?

If you look at the fan or the film reel in the HRP they have only about 15 and 20 frames for the entire 360 degree spin. It might look choppy in a modeling program but it looks smooth in Eduke. Even when slowed way down. I slowed the film reel anim to 1FPS and it runs smoothly with its 20 frames.
So if you decide to rotate in the model instead of con try 20 frames for the entire rotation.

Thank you. I will try that.
Maybe it will work like this:
The first wheel has 16 cogs. So I make 16 frames for a full revolution.
The second wheel has 20 cogs. 20 frames for a full revolution.
If I give first and second wheel the same speed for animation, the gear transmission ratio should be correct then.
