I cannot find any option to display framerate in the menu.
I'm trying to test something and kinda need this, how do you turn it on?
So I think I found out whats causing the lag on my map and would like to test this to see the difference, but my new gfx card makes it hard to tell.
Hence Problem #2
My visabilty is set at 240 in the water, I did this so I could see clear across the map, (while this is nice) I think its affecting the prefomance in and around the water areas of my map and might need to be reshaded and remove or change visabilty tags.
Is there a way to select just the sectors I need to edit, so I can remove the visibility tags just in those areas & raise the shade of them all at once without changing any nearby adjoining sectors in the process.
If not this could take ahwile by hand.

add r_showfps "1" into your settings.cfg file.
Thanks that helps.
Downside is... the visability is the problem.

The visibility shouldn't be a problem; the engine isn't smart enough to decide not to render sectors that are hidden by visibility in the distance.

Could be buffering, cache or some other element I have absolutely no knowlage of.
But I get a huge diffence in FPS with no visabilaty & slightly better with 240 taken out.
Here is 3 maps.
VistestZero.map makes huge differnce
VistestMixed.map ok but still laggy
Vistest240.map lagsville

Are you using Polymer and were you using it when experiencing the lag reported in your first post?
