Ewww. Dreamcast D-Pad? I think you've got this shit confused with the Saturn, which had the greatest D-Pad ever.

I like my d-pad like I like my women! Tall and flexible! (just kidding short ladies :P) It's definitely a unique d-pad, I could see it being a love it or hate it thang.

To this day I don't really understand why Sony decided to design their directional pad like they did, which has persisted for generations now. I'll go out on a limb and say it's kind of abrasive on one's thumb versus a directional pad where the whole thing feels like one piece which is basically every other one ever made. Strangely, the prototypes had "normal" directional pads.

I suddenly had the thought of 'oh man maybe I could check out that Galaxy Fraulein remake finally' but then i remember that whole game series isn't translated.
Which then begs the question of how the fuck the two OVAs got translations when nothing they were connected to did.

In a thread talking about the reverse engineering of the CD drive CPU for a dead console all because some dude wanted to make chiptunes with the Sound Processor, and you talking about how said SPU was used by a game to process more polygons, you're gonna throw the nerd card???

Knowing how things work = geek = income

Watching anime and robot porn = nerd = NEET

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.

You are some percentage of each.

I'll have you know I get paid to make other people's dumb porn, thank you very much. I don't have to watch anybody else's garbage.

And really man that same shit can be said of all those other dorks obsessed with *insert fiction franchise here*.

Nerds are highly intelligent, I can't see them not making the money.

For every finger you point at someone else your other three fingers are pointing back at you.

Working several different retail stores, I've learned you point using all five fingers.
Someone asked you where spotted dick is located? Throw your whole hand towards the direction with each finger extended out.
I've heard Disneyland employees must point with at least two fingers as well.

What's my point with all this? Every finger is pointing at you, pal :P

I had a friend tell me this but everywhere in retail that I've worked they've never taught this. The idea is that if you happen to be gesturing in the direction of someone you don't want it to look like you're pointing at them as it's impolite. I just point with my eyes I guess.

I've never seen anyone in retail do this actually.

So yeah big thing to note about this, the guys working on this are all noted as being major parts of Sonic fangame shit for years. Christian Whitehead AKA Taxman's been programming and attempting to reverse-engineer the sonic games for a very long time, and I'm suprised Sega finally decided to hand a project over to him that's not just ports (Sonic CD re-release from 2011 was his doing)

As well as the excellent Sonic 1 and 2 remastered versions (which I wish wasn't exclusive to mobile). It's a bit strange that Project Sonic 2017 is coming to the next Nintendo platform but not Mania though.

Didn't they already try something like that with Sonic the hedgehog 4?

No, that was Sega having Dimps make another pile of trash.

This is the first time I'm legit excited about Sonic game since Generations. And the last game I was excited about was Guilty Gear XX AC+R PC release.

Mania is coming earlier, before NX release. 2017 project will come during holidays which I assume means it will be out in the end of 2017.

This pile of garbage was supposed to be a shitty mobile cashgrab. Someone from SoA then asked for Sonic 3 sequel and guess what happened then?

Mania is going to be real Sonic 4.

It's actually surprising that SEGA is caring about fans this time. That would be great if Gearbox allowed competent fans to work on something like that in regards of Duke, Duke community has as much talented people who could make very good Duke game on Build engine, Bombshell could easily be that game. Hopefully TX will influence Duke 3D re-release at least.

Sorry, I could only read your post once and then I got confused. You point with your spotted dick when you're at Disneyland?
