What happened to the Gearbox vs TX thread?
#1 Posted 18 May 2016 - 10:42 PM
Did TX get pressure from Gearbox or something?
And I saw this on Twitter today:
What's going on?

Good on you and that is without question, the best decision for the community. I do hope everything works out, Nobody wants more drama for this franchise that is without question near and dear to our hearts and yours especially.
If things do go south, you can say to yourself that you did try to put water under the bridge.

Why would I read them if they bothered me so much? I don't know.

Are you saying that from a position of knowing something more of law than the "wanna be's?"

it's more a case of the dunning kruger effect being really cringeworthy to look at.

That's very mature of you. I know I'd be tempted to continue lashing out at those whom I believed were treating me unfairly. For you to be willing to bury the hatchet in this matter shows an immense amount of character on your part. It's always easy to say "be the bigger man"....but actually doing it can be extraordinarily difficult.

You should quit the Internet if you don't want to read posts like that.

It makes little difference then if we paint the CEO as an angel or demon, either will be ignored. It make little difference then if we are rational or just angry, either will be ignored.
No one knows the future, let's hope for the best and plan for the worst.

I'm not so sure about that. Randy does have a history of not taking criticism or negativity very well. It's best just to let the sleeping dog alone and hope for a favorable outcome for Tx and the rest of voidpoint.

What is the difference between a youtube guy hating on gearbox and Randy from us doing it you may ask? Just think about it are those youtube people here on this site? Can they live a day without Duke? the answer is most likely yes. Here is to hoping things can (for once) go a good way for Duke.

There is a reason for the saying "99% of lawyers make the other 1% look bad." I deal with several every week... for over a decade.

Just tally up the cost of development and sell it to him outright with an option to get paid for future updates and maintenance.
Also get a consulting contract for their new duke3d port.
Just get paid. Especially since you have a wife with medical issues. She needs to be comfortable.
Randy may have lost touch with what it's like to struggle to make ends meet now that he has millions and lives in a mansion in the sky, but if he has a shred of empathy he'll cut you a fair deal.

old thread full of slander and insults due to emotional distaste of how a certain situation went down. As long as this one stays "civil" it will probably continue; otherwise I'm guessing it will "disappear" as well if it gets out of hand again.
When you're trying to negotiate with someone on "friendly" terms, it's not a good tactic to have an open portfolio full of negativity.
