Hello fellow Duke fans, I was wondering why on the back of the Duke Nukem Total Meltdown CD case it shows a picture of Duke about to throw a pipebomb at the Cycloid Emperor and in the one corner of the photo shows 3D Realms Studios, I wonder why it was cut from the game or scrapped or is it hidden in a secret file where it could be resurrected?

If anyone is wondering, it appears only on the back of the US release:
I assume it is just some mockup of a different Movie Set. But, it isn't from Total Meltdown. It is actually on the back of the original Duke Nukem 3D box:

It does look like Movie Set, but it could be just a showcase map. And it bothers me how they display images of early prototypes in the final game.

Joe Siegler created a lot of those posed screenshots as I recall. Most of them, virtually none, are in game. They're posed inside of build and then screengrabbed.

It's movie set
Wall has a texture swap and the studio door is different possibly.
Aspect ratio is different (less is shown on the snap) so I tried to get it somewhat close.

This happens.
Supports got swapped in this case, other than that, it's the same.
If that's what you mean.

Yup, that shot is from final. It just gets blown up.
Inside editor you don't see it as the SE pulls the sector down during load and gives it a texture.
It's easy to miss normally too as it's there only for a few seconds.
