Hey guys.
So, I just got the r5606 build for Mac but it won't start.
That's what I got:

EDuke32 2.0.0devel r5095 (64-bit) C++ build
Compiled Mar 27 2015 07:06:26
Using /Users/davidmax/Library/Application Support/EDuke32/ for game data
Application parameters: -cachesize 131072
Cache size: 131072kB
Using /Users/davidmax/Desktop/DukeStuff/EDuke32/EDuke32.app/Contents/Resources/ for game data
Using /Users/davidmax/ for game data
Using /Users/davidmax/.eduke32/ for game data
Initializing SDL system interface (compiled against SDL version 2.0.3, found version 2.0.3)
Using "cocoa" video driver
Searching for game data...
Using "DUKE3D.GRP" as main game data file.
(none): At top level:
ignored redefining system array `tilesizx'.ignored redefining system array `tilesizy'.Compiling: GAME.CON (150642 bytes)
Including: DEFS.CON (35992 bytes)
Including: USER.CON (46927 bytes)
USER.CON:287: error: expected a keyword but found `ore.'.
GAME.CON: In state `troopdying':
GAME.CON:4306: error: state `rf' not found.
GAME.CON:4315: error: state `rf' not found.
GAME.CON: In state `checklizhit':

GAME.CON: In state `checkoctahitstate':

GAME.CON:5850: warning: found `else' with no `if'.
GAME.CON: In state `pigdyingstate':
GAME.CON:6020: error: state `rf' not found.
GAME.CON: In state `checknewbeasthit':
GAME.CON:8268: error: state `rf' not found.
Found 1 warning(s), 7 error(s).

That didn't happen with my previous copy, r4540 build.
So, how do I fix it?

USER.CON line 287:

maybe your CON files are edited, with errors.

Hmm, I remember editing my USER.CON file, modifying quotes, names of sounds, monsters strenghts, etc.
But, why would modified quotes cause this? Invalid characters?

Since the version you've been using previously, the CON parser has probably been improved to reject certain constructs. And quite a number of new CON keywords has been introduced, which might interfere with custom variable or constant names. The CON compiler shows the line where a problem becomes obvious, but the actual error may be located earlier in the code. Post your modified CONs as attachments.

And please stop using custom fonts in everyday posts. That sucks.

Problem fixed, the quote was just too long. :dukeaffirmative: I'm dumb.
Thanks for helping.

Hey, if we didn't want different fonts sometimes we'd just remove them!
