A couple weeks ago I went to a comic store I hadn't been to, and they had that badass Duke statue on the shelf. 50 bucks, not too shabby, about what it goes for on ebay with shipping. So was back there today and got it, tis awesome. Everybody should have one of these.



(Too lazy to take my own pic, but hey apparently there are 8,500 out there. Enough for every hardcore Duke fan probably. )

Man this thing is badass. Got it on top of the bookcase between my PC and TV, oh yes. Groooooovy

I got 2 of them sitting nicely at the top of my collection in plastic protectors right beside my DNF statue, these statues are simply badass.

I blame that on how Duke looks in Forever, they really toned his muscle mass/definition down a lot.

The Duke3D statue has way better proportions, imho.

I've got both statues, and taking the bias of liking 3D over Forever (who doesn't) out of the equation, the 3D statue just has more style and detail and beats the Forever statue hands down, even if it is half the size. For something so big, the Forever statue just lacks any real 'wow factor' and feels clean and bland. Only one of these is still sitting on my desk.

P.s. Those plastic protectors look pretty nifty there xMobilemux. Were they custom made or were they designed for something else and just fit the statues nicely?

I have a couple of these myself. $50 was a good deal, for a while they would sell for hundreds on eBay.

I recently got myself one of the Duke Nukem Forever statues. It does seem quite "generic" or something. Not sure how to describe it.

I have had my Duke 3D statue like this for a few years...


When I got my Duke Nukem Forever statue and had a case made, I realized I could actually get both of them into one case, which saves some space in my over-crowded game room. But I don't like the look as much, so I might change it back. Not sure.

Here is how I am going to display them for a while to see if I like it...

Now if they just had a full line of 4" Duke Nukem Figures...
