Every time I have set up MediaWiki on my site and installed countless anti spam plugins etc and even gone to the extent of only allowing the administration account the only one that can create new accounts etc, it still gets attacked by bots.
I'm looking for an alternative to MediaWiki.
Edit: I've just enabled http://www.cloudflare.com which should help.

You could test this: http://wordpress.org...ss-wiki-plugin/ in combination with WordPress. I don´t know how secure it is or how the performance is.
Can you tell me how "big" your Wiki is going to be?
EDIT: Here is a link with a list of alternatives: http://www.1stwebdes...-wiki-websites/

I recommend MediaWiki. If you get bots, you're doing it wrong. EDukeWiki has been bot free for over a year since TX turned on the user approval feature/module/plugin.
