I see double-underlined link text, banner ads, and pop ups now everywhere. Is this just me or was something changed in the forums recently?

Never mind. Looks like I had an unwanted plugin in Firefox....all the sudden. Going to run a sweep. No idea how that got there.

I have AdBlockerPlus. So no ads so far! :blink:

Yeah, I have AdBlock so the ads themselves don't show up, but the spaces for them do. It was some kind of add-on that adds banner ads into empty positions on every website you visit.

Yeah I torrented the odd movie or episode that wasn't on Netflix. Or even American Netflix. (Canada Netflix is crap)

Hmmm...I don't download that many exe files. Just drivers. Legit ones.

Even legit ones can have malware. Chances are slim, though.

You probably installed this addon via browser somehow, especially if it was a browser addon. As for paths of 'acquiring' malware - there are numerous.

I've been attacked by this damn plugin too.

So I got rid of it when I got unwanted ads above the first post.
