Star Wars Battlefront and bunch of other EA games are on sale up to 75% off on Origin right now (BF is 50% off). Battlefield 4 is $5, for anyone interested in those games.

Never make purchase decisions late at night. Something possessed me to actually seriously consider buying the new Star Wars Battlefront. Luckily I resisted this strange urge and went to bed instead. Be smart. Go to bed early.

But seriously, anybody playing Battlefront? Has it gotten any better? Any more content (besides the DLC)? Is it worth the current $20 price?

Don't bother, it's crap, the only good thing about it are visuals. It's already obvious that no one cares about it because people forgot about it like in few weeks. Spend your 20 bucks on something else instead. Better if it's not EA product.

Though I'm surprised EA haven't made it 75% off yet on their store, you could buy it very cheap in few months after release in retail stores because they wanted to get rid of this just like Battleborn.

The new Humble Bundle has Lethal League in it which is AMAZING https://www.humblebu...indie-bundle-17

I just want to reiterate this. If you don't have this bundle get it now. 12 hours left. It's worth it for The Beginner's Guide alone, which is the single greatest computer game experience I've ever had. It has no mechanics or anything in the traditional sense. It's from the guy who made The Stanley Parable and has less mechanics than that. It is highly narrative-driven and is about as "walking simulator" as you can get. But please do yourself a favour and spend a dollar to experience this one game alone. Please do it. Please. The most potent expression of the human soul I've ever experienced. No movie, book, game, painting, song, anything has moved me so much. I cried tears and I'm not ashamed to say it.

Space Quest is one of my fav series of all time, especially Space Quest IV and V (and the VGA remake of SQ1). Anybody who hasn't, make sure to check that fine series out if you dig point and click, and great comedy. Quest for Glory is right up there too so damn good, and some other ones I dig in that collection too.

Word. Space Quest is the best. Before I played The Beginner's Guide (which was just recently) it was my favourite game series of all time. SQ1/2 taught me to read, type, and spell.

They should really make it 90% off if you already bought Shadow Warrior Classic Complete.

RE: Humble Sierra Bundle. Just a note, the King's Quest Complete Collection key WILL redeem if you already have some of the chapters on Steam. Humble will grey it out but you can force it to show anyway. I did and tried to redeem it and it worked.

Homefront: The Revolution is also having a free weekend this weekend, that includes the singleplayer and coop.
If nothing else, slog through it to get to the Timesplitters arcade machine.

I this still available? GOG redirects me to its game list when I use that link. Same goes for most of the GOG adverts on this forum. I suppose this must have something to do with Germal law, but I'd really like to get this. If this still exists as a free download, could someone buy it for me as a gift? I'd like to know if it's possible to obtain the "hidden" games that way.

It's there to "buy" but the price is "FREE." You don't see that? Must not be available in Germany. PM me your email and I'll give it a shot.

GOG now sells Mirror's Edge, The Saboteur and Spore. I never played Spore so I can't comment, but I definitely reccomend Mirror's Edge and The Saboteur, they are great at what they want do (first-person parkour and open world resistance shooter, respectively).

There's a Rockstar Games sale on steam, just in case anybody doesn't already have classics like Max Payne (3.49 or 4.49 for both), GTA Vice City (3.49), etc.

Was in the mood to play TIE Fighter or even Empire at War again and was thinking about getting them on Steam due to Steam Sale (surprised no one did Star Wars corner there yet) and my question is, is there any difference between GOG and Steam versions of TIE Fighter or every X-Wing game at this point? If I remember correctly Steam versions had no collector's CDs on release unlike GOG versions, for example, but not sure if they fixed it.

No. Steam has all the versions now like GOG.

So, no difference then? Good. Guess I'll grab the bundle.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is still on steam for $10. This is a great metroidvania style 2D platformer with amazing visuals. I gave it a 9/10 in my steam review. My only complaint was a difficulty spike in one sequence (the escape from the ginso tree). Highly recommended, if you have a 360 controller or similar and a big enough monitor.

A bunch of Assassin's Creed games are in the latest Humble Bundle. They're all uPlay keys though, not Steam. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it and if I'll ever get around to playing them...was never interested in the series before. Anyone say it's a good series?

The way they've packaged them together is quite odd, as the 3 Chronicles games in the pay-what-you-want bundle aren't part of the main series and are off-shoots. Basically they're what you'd typically play because you've played all the main titles and are quite familiar with the series and can't get enough of it. To get the second main title (AC 2) you have to spend more than the average price ($7.31 currently), then to play the next in the series (AC Brotherhood) you have to spend $15. The next title after AC Brotherhood, AC Revelations, isn't in any of the bundles and that actually fits in before AC 3. So yeah, if you wanted to play them all in order you're missing out on Revelations and then after AC 3 you're missing out on AC 4 Black Flag (weak AC game but a fairly fun pirate game). That is if you care for playing them all in order to begin with, which if you do the series does start off with promise but eventually becomes very repetitive and goes off the rails (story-wise) as it goes on.

TL;DR My advice is to skip it, especially if a) you're not super excited to play any of them, b ) half of them are of questionable quality to begin with anyway, and c) you don't want to deal with uPlay.
