(I'm not frontpaging this because I want the DNF 2013 mod to get votes.)

[This guy's] friend is a games journalist. He gave Duke Nukem Forever a score of 2/10. He received this gift as a result. | The review in question

I wish he could have sent that to Ben Kuchera.

A bit late to send something like that out or did it only recently surface?

Meh,

I'm sorry Jon. Duke Nukem Forever did suck, it did burn a lot of people. I'll always love you, and Duke. Part of my childhood, and nothing can ever change that. I hope you and he get a decent game again sometime soon, but DNF was not the glorious return. It did not honor the legacy of Duke Nukem 3D.

(I know he won't ever read that, but those are my thoughts.)

That's still a pretty fair response for a 2/10 score though. The game is absolute minimum a 4. Anything lower than that is just the product of bitter emotions getting in the way. I managed to play through the game at least twice, which is pretty good considering I haven't bothered finishing a lot of other modern games.

Reacting to some obscure review two and a half years after the fact (assuming the card was sent recently); how childish can a man who's at least in his late fifties get?

Pretty telling that he uses a Duke model from way back in '99, BTW.

He should have sent it to Randy Pitchford.

Keep it up and it may lead somewhere... ;)

Because at least he wasn't hyping the shit out of it before release.

Hahahaha. That guy is truly a terrible reviewer and I stopped reading Penny Arcade altogether (even the comic) when they hired him.

It was probably sent out a couple of years ago, and that photo was probably taken and printed LONG before that. It's usually film actors that have headshots done so I imagine a voice actor doesn't exactly send a whole lot of them out. After all, they're generally intended for hiring actors based on their looks and that's simply not criteria you'd judge a voice actor on.

Funny enough, it actually complimented JSJ's voice acting. The rest of the review was pretty over the top, though.
