Edit WHAVEN.BAT from:
\Witchaven Launcher\CAPSTONE\WHAVEN\WHAVEN.BAT
and change the file to:
@echo off smackply intro.smk /u1 wh exit
Note: it just adds the exit command to the end of WHAVEN.BAT. This is a temporary fix and it will not be needed in a future release.
The problem will be probably fixed in the next release (the problem was that the WHAVEN.BAT should be called with the CALL command)

Cool, I will embed a new batch file in the launcher to replace the original..

Fixed exit problem in conf file. BTW TekWar CD ordered.

You can't even have the x and y axis move at the same speed, making mouse control impossible.

I admit though that it's being a very long time since I last played Witchaven I or II and Exhumed/Powerslave.

And if that's not enough you can map the keys with the DOSBox keymapper. I have often used it to map joystick controls to keyboard, useful trick if you don't actually have a joystick but the game requires one.

1. Add the latest EGwhaven dos port for Witchaven II
2. Add ETTiNGRiNDER's Unofficial Witchaven Level 5 patch
3. Add The Horror Back by Lothar [Witchaven II] you can find it at ETTiNGRiNDER's site
4. Add FBMouDis - Forward/Backward Mouse Disabler for Witchaven I & II and Powerslave/Exhumed
5. Use the "call filename.bat" when you want to tell dosbox to run wh.bat or any other batch file.
or add the lines included in wh.bat directly to dosbox's .conf file

I think I actually played about 20 minutes of it before quitting back to DOS. What a shambles! Really crudely photo-sourced textures and... someone was credited as a designer on this? It was sort of like a medieval FPS done via a Mad Lib.
The thought that they made a second one is mind-boggling.
I've never played Tekwar. I'll have to grab a demo and see what it's like - but just to see what it's like.
EDIT: Just watched a video of Map 01 and it doesn't appear that the level has had any sector shading applied.
