I already said quakis in a previous post. But it's not you because although your mapping is intermittent, you still get your duke music work done Posted Image

Alright I'll give it a go. I'll be free to test it in january and february. After that I've got Uni, and before that I CBF Posted Image
It'll give me an excuse to play some of those new Dukeplus maps that came out this year that I was too busy for.

Short update to this map:

Got no time for mapping atm, but will finish this map in summer this year definetly.
There is allready to much work in this map to cancel it.

80% is done, just waiting for vacation to do the rest.

I would be worried that your map will run poorly on the vast majority of machines, given the requirements (polymer, dukeplus, HRP, huge viewing area).

But it looks good.

Just found some time to work on this map.

Downloaded latest eduke 64bit build to test it...

Needs some time to load, but after then, it runs quite nice.
Not alllways the average 30 fps all the time, but I'm able to play it in polymer + dukeplus, with quite nice gameplay.

Tested on Intel I7 3770, Win 7 64 bit, 8 Gb RAM, GeForce 560 GT.

Also this map is meant to be a 'as much as possible' map.
So, if you consider to play it, better have a beast!

If you're getting 30fps on the 64 bit eduke32 on a computer like that, then it's going to be unplayable for the average user...

I'm getting over 200 fps here in some sections, but if it comes hard it drops down to 10 fps for a moment or two.
The average is some playable gameplay.

But, you know what?
I don't give a shit!

I allways wanted to make such a Dukemap and I'll do it anyways.
And for those guys, which want full fps, there is allways polymost.
This map runs with nice fps in this mode, but TROR and such will cause graphic bugs.

Again, this map is designed for 64 bit + Polymer + Dukeplus and a realy hardcore PC.
And I don't wanna cut a single detail of this map to fit 30 fps on bad PCs.

I have to cut enough for the wall limit and thats all I do so far!
This map will have as much details, rooms and space as I can imagine and mapster32 and eduke gives me the freeedom to it.
Nothing more, nothing less.

It will be huge, full of details and I'll only release it when I consider it to be done.

Hey, I was reading through some of this thread and I noticed you had a problem with SE 666 not killing monsters. That is a bug that I fixed a while back (has to do with one of the optional settings that you must be using) but I haven't uploaded a fixed full version yet. Attached are the latest CON files with the bug fix. Make sure you put dukebike.con in the dukebike folder, and the rest go in the dpcons folder.

Will use that CONs for my self.

But, you know the issue... with publishing and compatibility...

Since it's not in a mainstream release, I won't build any necessary stuff based on this effect in my map.
Requirements are high enough....

After 6 month of doing nothing I'm working on this map again.

I realy strumbled with myself if I continue to work on this map or not.
But after playing it, seeing all the nice things I allready put in there...
This map has to be finished!

So I started working on spots which are realy difficult.
A house with 3 Layers, 1 of them complety in sprites... almost done.
Nuclear power plant ... 33 % done.

Allready done:
80 % basic architecture
50 % of decorating rooms
20 % decorating landscape
15 % polishing
60% overall gameplay

Current stats: 13573/16384 walls 6518 sprites 1462 sectors

Estimated time to release: 1 more year. xD

Well... I just keep going.

Map is almost in a pre-alpha state.
It's getting closer to a release ... things comming together finaly.

Over 16k 14k walls now...

Is this still using the HRP and Dukeplus? I hope everything works...I haven't touched Dukeplus in years.

Works like a charm, but I haven't tested the latest HRP with it.
