MARS 3D - The DooM clone by Taiwanese  "Uploaded some footage for who want to see and know what's this..."

I found some interesting old advertisements for MARS 3D in some vintage Chinese gaming magazines, along with a few reviews. The game looks completely different in the screenshots – different enemies, and even the HUD was different.
Another Chinese user also shared some photos of his original boxed version of the game.

Looks like they had ripped a bunch of stuff from TekWar, and one shot shows what appears like the Stalker from HeXen.

Top left in next-last pic has a very obvious "Baron of Hell", too!

Good 'ol time that games just "borrowing assets from other games...", since people may not really even know about that...at least back then in Taiwan.

The old hud did show the in-game date, and "more detailed" weapons info but looks like they just dropped the idea on the later revision(and possible scaled down the plan to ship the game or/and made the game runs better so the levels just looks different than the release version, those screenshots may from early plan or just copied from other games and modified for demonstrating propose).
They did advertised a lot about the online multiplayer but seems they never completed that, thus the remains still in the game files(and on boxart too lol). It still possible if they did planned to release patch for that but since the game likely bombed...so that plan just never happened...I guess.

Well, the network function exists in the setup program(only supports IPX, modem to modem and Serial Port) but I'm not sure if it's still possible to do so in any emulators, I don't have the environment to test that.
