This has already been posted. The problem is getting Interceptor to release it now. They're not commenting on it. I don't think they're going to finish it at this point anyway, but they should just release it. It might be incomplete and crappy, but it would finally put it to rest. Who knows, maybe its release would make it possible for others to remake the game on the Unreal Engine. If Interceptor doesn't want to finish it, I'm sure there's others out there who would.

This is like two weeks old and it doesn't mean anything, check the other thread.
"The day" has certainly not come.

That happened two weeks ago, IIRC. And nothing new had happened since then. Apart from everybody here agreeing that Reloaded won't continue production.

And to me it is more than obvious that GBX' turnaround only happened when they knew that Interceptor won't continue on it due to ROTT and other commercial projects.

I still couldn't care less. I want Gearbox to do something fresh with the franchise instead of commissioning these faux-nostalgic remakes.

We DON'T need a piece of crap, even if it has the Duke Nukem name on it. I don't get people who just want a sequel for the sake of the name continuing on. That's stupid. The name is nothing without what used to be special about it. The name means nothing, even if you want it to mean something.

Unless they make something good in a different way, or better. But just saying you want a new Duke Nukem game no matter if it's a Duke-themed Tetris puzzle game is moronic.

I will totally pay 60 bucks for this if Interceptor finishes it and enters a publishing agreement with GearBox and Take2. Totally.

Wanting it to come out? Sure.

60 dollars? Fuck no. Not if ROTT is anything to judge the quality of Reloaded by.

There is a small section of the Duke community that would actually like that, thankfully most of them are on Gearbox forums and deviantArt.

Now excuse me while I attempt to burn this thread into the ground.

More like,
Duke Nukem Reloaded: Jacking in the box, Sad Edition

To be honest, I think that what I have seen of the DNR prealpha, looked much better and much more solid than ROTT does.
I actually thought DNR had something more going to it both in gameplay and in art style.
It felt like Duke3D slightly expanded upon and I also liked the weapon models and a few other props that I've seen.
As a duke 3d fan, I used to be interested in this project.
